Chapter 8

"Pepsi. Pepsi. Get up." Telay whispered, trying to shake Pepsi awake. "We got to go. Now! Wake up Pepsi." She shook Pepsi until her eyes opened. "It's time to go." Telay said tossing a gray dress at Pepsi.

Pepsi jumped up in a hurry. Already knowing the reason behind Telay waking her, she slipped into the little gray dress as quick as she could and followed Telay out of the house. They hopped into a black Chrysler 300 and pulled off. "Whose car is this?" Pepsi asked as they drove to the park.

"You ask a lot of questions!" Telay smiled. "Just enjoy the ride." She said turning up the music. Telay bobbed her head and sang along to Young Money's hit "Right Above It".

When they pulled up to Pepsi's stash spot, they both looked around to see if there was anyone watching or following them. After deciding that the coast was clear, Pepsi hopped out of the car to start digging up her money before Telay could even cut the engine off. Crickets and other insects chirping in the night made music with the sound of Pepsi digging up the dirt like a mad woman.

"Wait a minute." Telay whispered with panic evident in her tone. Pepsi stopped digging to look at her. "Do you hear that?" Telay asked. The two stood still, listening to the different sounds around them. They were not alone. Telay pushed Pepsi on top of the place where she had been digging. Before Pepsi could respond to Telay pushing her Telay jumped on top of her and started kissing her. She didn't understand what Telay was doing but she trusted her enough to go with the flow. They kissed as if it was not their first time. Telay took her finger and slowly pushed it between Pepsi's legs. She twirled her finger around pushing it in and out of Pepsi.

Pepsi moaned, sticking her tongue back into Telay's mouth.

"I'll be damned!" Candy laughed stepping from behind a tree with Cookie at her side. "Your one smart little bitch, Caramelay. You two might be fucking, but y'all ain't come all the way out here to do it. Now get up and start digging."

Telay removed her finger from between Pepsi's legs. Sticking her finger in her mouth, she sucked all Pepsi's juices off her finger. "MMM! We're gonna have to finish this later." Telay told Pepsi as she got up to face Candy. "You just don't get enough huh?" Telay asked, pissed that Candy had followed them.

Pepsi stood to her feet. "What are you two doing her?" She asked just as mad as Telay.

"Hell! I would be asking you little bitches the same thing, but it's obvious ya'll came here to get something. Now..." Candy removed a gun from her purse. Telay's eyes lit up at the sight of the gun. It was the same gun she had used to murder an innocent man. "I want to see what it is. Get to digging!" Candy aimed the gun at them.

Pepsi dug up the bag that now contained about thirty-two thousand dollars and passed it over to Candy. Candy's face lit up with joy once she saw the money. "Jack Pot! Hold this." Candy passed the gun over to Cookie and placed her hand inside the bag as if she thought the money was hallucination. She smiled when she realized it wasn't. "I knew it Cookie. These little bitches! I told you these hoes were up to something. My Daddy gone be so proud of me. Wait 'til he finds out what you two been up to, he's gone—"

A look of pain and confusion covered Candy's face. The bag of money fell from her hands as she dropped to her knees. Telay and Pepsi held in their screams as blood trickled from Candy's mouth and stomach. Cookie stood behind Candy with smoke still coming from the gun she had just used to shoot Candy. Telay and Pepsi both stared at Cookie nervously.

Assuming Cookie wanted the money, Telay started to plead for their lives. "Look Cookie, you got the money. Just take it and go. I don't give a fuck. Just don't shoot us."

Cookie smiled with tears rolling from her eyes. "I would never hurt you Telay. I love you. Candy and I promised your mom if anything ever happened to her we would do our best to protect you, but obviously, Candy was not going to live up to that promise. That's why I did what I did. Now, don't let it be for nothing. Take your money and go do something good with your life. Remember that I loved you and so did your mother." Cookie said before placing the gun to her own head and pulling the trigger.

"NOOO!" Pepsi screamed as Candy's lifeless body fell to the ground.

"What the fuck?" Telay mumbled. She was blown away by Cookie's decision to end her own life. She walked up to Cookie's body and removed the gun from her hand. "Grab the money and let's go," she said walking away from Cookie.

Pepsi looked at her in shock. "Telay? We can't just leave them here!"

"What the fuck do you suggest we do, Pepsi? Sit here and wait on the police to come? They're dead! It's nothing we can do. You heard what Cookie said, we got to get the fuck away from here. Now grab the money and let's go."
