As the day went by, my back and eyes didn't hurt as much as the morning. My hunger was distracted by other things as well, which kept my brain occupied on things other then my hunger.
When lunch time came, I looked back at Minseok and he glanced at me as well.
"Luhan, do you want to eat with Taeyeon and her friends today?" Baekhyun asks, looking at me with both his eyebrows raised.
"Can't, the coach is making me stay in the gym and run laps since I missed yesterdays class." I explain, already standing up from my seat.
"What, oh come on dude..." Baekhyun comments in a sigh, he sounded annoyed.
"Sorry, got to go. Good luck with Taeyeon" I say while patting his shoulder before walking away from him so I could head to the gym.
I got to the gym first where the coach was waiting with his arms crossed. "You ready to start running Luhan?" He asks, trying to project his voice to make it sound louder and more intimidating, but I wasn't intimidated in the slightest.
Minseok came into the gym right after I did. I looked back at him to see him walking up to me and the coach. "Go put your phys ed clothes on, you can't get sweaty in your uniform." The coach says until he looked down and saw Minseok was wearing sweatpants.
"Why aren't you wearing uniform, Kim Minseok?" The coach asks, looking at Minseok curiously, but at the same time didn't seem like he cared at all.
"The office let me wear my sweatpants today." Minseok says in a faint tone, like he couldn't dare to speak any higher then the tone he was speaking in right now.
"That didn't answer my question." The coach says, sounding more impatient this time.
"I..." Minseok paused like he didn't want to continue and have to explain it again. After Baekhyun, Chen and I asked Minseok why he wasn't wearing his uniform this morning, he also had to explain to the teacher why in front of the whole class which was probably just as embarrassing.
"I...broke my extra uniform pants. The office doesn't have a size big enough for me so they let me wear my sweatpants." Minseok explains, looking off to a side after explaining his reason.
"This is why I said you should follow my workout diet for you-"
"Just because I can't fit into school pants, doesn't mean I'm going to follow your stupid workout plan, stop bothering me about it!" Minseok exclaims in an angry, loud tone. I don't think I've ever heard Minseok get this mad before, that's new.
The coach continued to look at him with no emotion on his face. "You two better start running laps right now. I'll be in my office in the other room, checking up on you from time to time. If I don't see you two running, we're going to have problems." He says in a serious tone.
Minseok and I nodded and went to the changing rooms to put on our phys ed uniform.
Minseok was standing in the corner of the changing room, just watching me while I took off my shirt. "What, you're not going to get changed?" I ask while I pulled off my uniform shirt.
"I...uh...was going to wait until you leave the room before I get changed. I always do that." He answers with his voice shaking. It sounds like he's scared of me.
"Why, I've already seen your body, there's no point on being embarrassed" I say in a smirk and Minseok completely blushed into a dark red.
"St-still..." He continues to stutter in the low tone he was already speaking in.
I continued to stare at him for a second or so before walking up to him and touching his shoulder. I felt him flinch when I touched him.
I looked at him seriously and he looked back into my eyes. When our eyes met my heart started to beat faster.
My heart was pounding like a drum. I placed both my hands on both of Minseok's arms and smiled at him. "You don't have to be ashamed of who you are around me. I like you Minseok. A lot." I say, kissing his cheek before parting from him and walking to where I was getting changed before.
Once I got changed into my gym shorts, I glanced at Minseok who still had the same shocked expression on his face. "I'll do some stretches and wait for you out there. Let's run together." I say before turning around and leaving the changing room.
When I started stretching, the coach walked up to me and had the same disappointed expression on his face from earlier.
"Luhan" he says in a loud tone.
I looked up at him but didn't give him a reply. I think I implied that he should just start talking to me.
He then continued to say "I don't expect this behavior from our star football player. You have to smarten up if you want a scholarship." The coach explains and I turned my head away from him so I could roll my eyes.
I already know I'm not going to university or college. Even if I do get a scholarship, I won't be able to pay for the other things I need. Going to college or university would be a waste of time because I'd be so in debt I'll be living on the streets for the rest of my life.
Minseok finally came out of the changing room. His gym uniform looked tight on him, I'm guessing it would be uncomfortable to wear. He somehow still looked really cute. He looked embarrassed and hung his head low but that just made it cuter.
He walked up beside me and the coach gave me a a reassuring look to think abtut what he said. After we made that awkward three second eye contact, he cleared his throat and says "now I want you two running twenty laps."
Minseok looked uncertain about it when he brought up twenty laps. If anything he looked sick just hearing about it.
The coach truned around and went into another room which was his office. Minseok looked down and looked really worried.
"You can do it" I say to him, patting his shoulder before starting to run.
While I started to run my grumbling stomach started to sting in pain again. I have to hurry and finish these twenty laps so I can maybe steal lunch off of Chen, Baekhyun or Tao.
I started to run faster, already finishing three laps. I glanced at Minseok from time to time but not long enough to actually see how he was. I just know he was running really slow. Maybe he was still on his first lap.
I finished the twenty laps in a couple of minutes. It wasn't as bad as I thought but I was still sweating a decent amount.
My stomach started to growl louder and I cluthced it in pain. I really need something to eat. I went to the coach's office and poked my head inside, saying "I'm done running my laps."
"That was faster then I expected, what about Minseok?"
"What do you think?" I ask and he nodded meaning he knew what I meant. "I'll be in class next week" I say in a smile and he gave me a light smile back, giving me a thumbs up.
While I was walking to the changing room, I glanced at Minseok one last time. He looked so tired and out of breath. Visible sweat could be seen streaming down his gym top. I feel a little bad.
Right when I felt bad, my grumbling stomach started hurting again and I grabbed it. "I have to eat something" I say to myself before bolting into the changing room and getting changed back into my uniform.
