Meeting her

Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in a few days. I've been super busy. I'm writing this in Steve's POV. I'll probably do this throughout the story. Vote/comment please.
I don't on the outsiders or the characters.

Steve's POV
It started out as just an ordinary summer day. Me and Soda just finished up with rush hour and were fixin to head home then some truck pulled up at the gas tank. Two of the prettiest girls I've ever laid eyes on stepped out of the truck and were headin this way. Soda say"Girl on the rights my." She was a tall blond.ill admit she was smokin hot but not as smokin as the girl on the to the left. She had an hourglass figure,black curly hair that was just below her shoulders,she didn't have a stitch of make-up on,she had red lips,maybe about 5' 6",and the prettiest eyes they where green with a gold circle around her pupil. I was in shock. I finally answered Soda sayin"Lefts mine."
The girls walked in and we followed behind them and walked behind the counter. " Stay calm Steve. Be cool."Was all I could think the whole time I was around her.
"What can I get you ladies?"Soda asked cooly. I could tell he was nervous. The one and only Sodapop Curtis nervous about a girl. He must feel something awful special for her already."12 Pepsi's please and we need to pay for a tank of gas."Soda's girl replied.
"Well,step right over her and I'll help you get 'em and my friend her will ring y'all up."Soda flirted. Before he left he playfully elbowed my arm and gave me a good luck wink. It's just me and the pretty girl who had already stole my heart. So I said the first thing that came to my mind..."What's a pretty lady like you doin here by yourself ?" Tryin to sound flirty but yet cool. Wonder if I succeeded? Then she answered "Oh, just tryin to stay out of trouble." She had the sweetest voice. Everything about her was perfect and tryin to stay out of trouble she must be a greaser. It's official I'm in love with a girl I just met. I don't even now her name, better change that. "Sounds like a hard task. I'm Steve, what's your name?"
"I'm Shelby." A pretty name for a pretty girl. I couldn't stop staring at her eyes. "Well Shelby are you free Friday night?" Please say yes.
"Um, yeah." Score!!
"Great! I get off work at 4:00, can you meet me here?" Please say you can. I can't wait till Saturday to see you.
"Yeah. Sounds great!" She sounded excited and I couldn't help but smile.
Soda and the other girl came back either 12 Pepsi's. They must have a lot of people with them. Shelby handed me the money and as our hands touch I felt something I've never felt with any of the other girls I've been with,including Evie, could it be love? I hope so. The other girl spoke up"Shelby, this is Sodapop, Sodapop this is my best friend Shelby."
"Nice to meet ya Shelby." He said shaking her hand.
"Nice to meet ya to Sodapop."
"You can call me Soda if you want to."
"Oh, ok."
"Leah this is Steve, Steve this is my best bud Leah." Shelby introduced.
"Nice to meet ya Leah." I said shaking her hand.
"Nice to meet ya too Steve."
We walked the girls out and they introduced us to there gang. There was seven girls and five boys. I'll admit all the girls were pretty but they couldn't compete with Shelby. I'm still surprised she said to me when she could have anyone she wanted. I was kinda zoned out but a deep,tuff voice snapped me out of it right quick.
I looked and it was Shelby's cousin, Greg " Steve we can be friends or enemies, and for your sake I'd choose friends. If you hurt her in any way or touch her below the neck I will hunt you down and either kill you or make you wish you were dead. Got it!"
"Greg!" Shelby said angrily and I do mean angrily it kinda scared me. How could something so sweet sound that angry. Dang!
"It's fine Shelby, I understand.I won't Greg, I promise."
"Good we understand each other."Greg nodded.
About that time Johnny,Ponyboy,and Dally walked up.
"Guys this is Leah and Shelby. Leah, Shelby this is my brother Ponyboy and our friends Johnny and Dallas." Soda introducedr them. I noticed Dally staring Shelby up and down smirking. I took a step closer to her and have Dally a death stare. I guess he got the point cause he put his hands in the air and stepped back. I kinda zoned out again while they introduced each other cause I couldn't stop staring and thinking about Shelby. I just met her and I can't imagine life without her.
I heard Greg's voice again sayin"Well, bein the responsible one and all, I've been thinkin where are we suppose to stay?" Greg questioned.
"Some lot will work." Leah said. It almost broke my heart to hear Shelby didn't have a place to stay. I would invite her to stay with me but #1 Greg would kill me and #2 My parents aren't the best company. See my mom is always screamin at me and hitting on me but my dad is worse, he beats me half to death and gives me $5 the next day to make up for it. Speakin of that I'm low on cash and need it Friday for my date with Shelby, guess I'm goin home tonight. Ponyboy spoke up and brought me out of my trance "There's two houses for rent on North Tulsa, one on each side of my house."
"Perfect! Girls in one, boys in the other." Shelby said.
"A house full of girls, sounds like fun." Dally smirked. That really pissed me off cause when he said that he looked right at Shelby. I swear to God if he touches her I'm gonna kill him. I was fixin to say somethin cut me off "Don't get any ideas pal,you touch them and you'll be sorry."Greg growled. He looked and sounded pissed. Dally looked like he wasn't scared but if you know him like I do he was shaken in his boots. I'd rather take on a mad Darry and Dally at the same time that piss Greg off and that's sayin somethin.
"By 'them' he means Shelby" Skylar said...."but I'm not Shelby and you can stop by whenever you want."
Dally half grinned and said"I might just take you up on that." Well at least he wasn't thinkin about Shelby now.
"Please do." Skylar cooed.
"Come on guys let's go." Blake said to Shelby and Leah. They're leaving! I don't want Shelby to leave I want her to stay by my side forever. At least she has Greg to watch out for her.
"Comin, see yall 'round town, bye Steve." Shelby said. As she said that I wanted to kiss her so bad but Greg was standing there so I just squeezed her hand. He's a big guy who looks like he could kick anyone's ass, cut me slack you wouldn't touch anything he cared about either.
"Bye Shelby, see ya Friday at 4:00." I said.
"Hold your horses, Bye Sodapop, talk to yall later." Leah said.
Pony, Johnny, and a Dally told them all bye.
"See ya Saturday at 6:00 Leah." Soda hollered. Well looks like soda scored to,surprise huh? I would of rather of had a date on Saturday but I couldn't wait that long to see Shelby.
"Ok." Leah replied."Hey Dally!" Skylar hollered.
"Yeah?"
"Seriously, come by sometime."
"Trust me, I will." We all laughed at them. As I watched her leave my heart kinda sank. Wow this girl has really gotten to me. I can't wait till Friday.



It was just me, Soda, Pony, Johnny, and Dally now. The first thing I did was give Dally a right hook on his cheek, knocking him to the ground.
"What the hell was that for!" Dally yelled from ground rubbing his right cheek.
"I saw you lookin at Shelby Dal, she mine stay away from her!"
"Sheesh I will, I just checked her out, she's real hot but I got a thing for that Skylar girl now."
"Dang Steve, you didn't do that to Dally when he use to check Evie out."Ponyboy said
"Yeah well Shelby ain't Evie, she's special alright." I told 'em.
"Well i think that Ashley girl was a looker."Pony told us.
"Chandra was pretty good lookin."Johnny replied.
"I kinda feel sorry for you Steve, you gotta put up with Greg."Soda joked.
"I thought he was gonna jump out and kick yours and Dally's ass."Soda chuckled.
"I know, looks like you won't have much fun with Shelby, huh Steve."Dal joked. I haven't even thought about goin all the way with Shelby. I don't really care if I do, I mean I want to now that somebody said somethin about it.
"I don't care. As long as I can call her mine and be with her I'm happy." I replied.
They all stood there in shock. "What?" I questioned.
"You're in love." They all said in unison.
I just smiled and said "Yeah I guess I am. I've never been happier."
