The Outsiders-Steve Randle,Love at first Sight

Late night talk

This is kinda of a fill in chapter. It'll probably be short, sorry. But I hope you like it anyways. I don't own The Outsiders or characters.

Shelby's POV
I was sleeping peacefully. Dreaming of my future with Steve. Then some retard decided to wake me up. My dream was just getting good.

Sydni's POV
I've been thinking about Shelby leaving. I might not see her very much anymore. With the baby on the way I probably won't do much traveling and after she graduates she might move off somewhere and start her own life. Surely she won't leave Steve but she's very unpredictable......

I decided to go talk to her. Not caring if it's after midnight or not. I've interrupted her doing more entertaining things before. I got up, careful not to wake Thomas up. I got to Shelby's tent and went in. I shook her. She jumped up.
"You bastard! Do you know what time it is?! I have to wake up early tomorrow!" She whisper shouted.
"I'm guessing it's after midnight. Be quiet so you don't wake up Steve." I pointed at him. She looked at him and her face softened.
"He is cute when he's asleep." Shelby said.
"Uh..no comment." I grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the tent.

Steve's POV
Really?! She just had to wake me up!! I was dreaming of my future with Shelby....and cars. I listened to there conversation. I still couldn't make out who woke me up. I'm pretty sure it was a girl..or Ponyboy.
"He is cute when he's asleep." Shelby said. Duh. I'm cute when I'm awake to. I felt the random person drag her out. Should I go help the love of my life to make sure some stranger isn't taking her?? Nah. She can take care of herself. I need some sleep.

Sydni's POV
"We haven't just sat down and talked in forever." I told her. We walked to the edge of the water,sat down, and put our feet in.
"It's so beautiful." She said. I'm guessing she's talking about the sky. She's always had this thing for it.
"It sure is." We admired it for awhile.
"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked.
"You. Your plan for college."
"Oh." She mumbled sadly. "I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon. I'm taking double classes so I can finish sooner and have a few more breaks. All I know for sure is I'm gonna miss you guys." She teared up. I've only seen her cry once. That was when she found out Steve couldn't come with her. I hate it.
"Shelby please don't cry. If you cry I'll cry." I begged her.
"I'm sorry. It's just that I'm gonna be lost without yall."
"We ain't gonna drop ya like its hot. We'll call you and visit you. Greg will be with you. And you have that pretty locket with you he got you to remind you of us."
"I know. But I'm gonna be here when my little nephew gets here. I'm gonna make sure of it."
"I'm only three months along so you have plenty of time to worry about that."
"You should totally name him after me."
"Shelby Lynn Wilson....I don't think that is a boys name."
"My middle was my dad's best friends middle name. Michael Lynn Garrison died in a car crash right before I born. He was racin and hit a semi head on."
"I thought of a first name but I'm not sure if I like it."
"What is?!"
"Gage. I don't have a middle name. He's due in January."
"Gage McCoy. That sounds good." She yawned
"We better get back to bed." I stood up and she did to.
"I love you Syd." She hugged me.
"Love you to Shelb." I hugged her back.

We walked back. When I got back in my tent Thomas was still asleep. I laid there thinking of life without Shelby. It's gonna be hard. She's always been there for me. Who knows what could happen in OKC.......

That's all of this chapter. Sorry it's short. I thought of a idea about asking you guys questions about the story. The first to answer correctly gets an outfit. I'll try to do it on every chapter.
