Greg's POV
I feel bad for Steve. But I'm just glad Shelby's okay. We stayed in the hospital for a few days. Shelby is on some medicine incase there's any poison left in here and another kind that might help her get her memory back. Today is Saturday and she has to go to college Monday. So I decided that we we're going to replay the trip to Tulsa. I sent the Curtis gang to Tulsa and told then the plan. I made Caden stay home. I don't want him interfering more than he already is. On the way to Tulsa we tried to have the same conversations but we couldn't remember them all, I played the same music, and we stopped at the same places on the way.
It was a fun hour and a half ride. As soon as we got there we pulled into the DX to get some gas and Pepsi. Soda and Steve were standing in the same places they were that day. I sure hope Shelby's thinking the same thing she was that day too.
"I call dibs on the one on the right." Leah said quickly. Shelby just looked at her.
"Didn't you already call dibs on Soda? He is your boyfriend." Shelby got out of the truck. "I'm gonna go get Pepsi and pay. Do you wanna come Leah??" At least she's going in.
"Yeah sure." Leah got out too. I grabbed Shelby.
"Shelby please be careful and holler if you need anything."
"Really Greg? It's just Sodapop. He wouldn't hurt a fly."
"If you haven't noticed the two hot guys are this way." Leah pulled Shelby away. This is gonna be a disaster.
Steve's POV
(A/N I'm copying most of this from chapter 2)
Here she comes. Please remember. I held the door for them as they walked in.
"What can I get you ladies?" Soda cooed.
"12 Pepsi's and we need to pay for a tank of gas." Leah answered.
"Well step right over here and I'll help you with 'em and my friend here will ring you up." Sodapop answered dreamily. Soda walked away and he elbowed me for good luck. It was just me and Shelby now.
"What's a lady like you doin' here by yourself?" I asked in a flirty but cool tone.
"My boyfriend had to stay home today. Can you please just ring me up so I can go?" That's not how it went the last time. I can't give up now though.
"Listen Shelby." I sighed. "I'm gonna do everything I can to get you to remember me. I'm not gonna stop till you do. No matter what you say or do I'm gonna keep trying. I love you. I'll always love you. And I'm gonna prove that. I'm usually not this lovey dovey but I need you to understand I'll do anything for you to remember me. Caden cheated on you. You forgot that didn't you?? You came here because you were heartbroken and you and your mom were fighting. Me and you hit it off real good. We've been dating ever since. Hell Shelby we've even had sex before. And once right here on this counter. You gotta remember you've just gotta!"
"I don't know what you're talking about." She said quietly and looking down.
"Yes you do. Deep down you do. You just have to pull it up."
"Honestly Steve, I want to remember. I feel like we had something special. But I don't remember Caden cheating on me or even meeting you and I'm not gonna throw away what me and Caden have just because you say we dated."
"Look I know a way for you to remember. Tonight let me show you. I promise it's nothing sexual or anything. I'm not gonna touch you I just want to show you something. Something I'm surprised you haven't seen. Deal?"
"Deal." About that time Leah and Soda came back.
"So...." Soda said.
"Nothin." I mumbled.
"Let's go outside." He put his arm around my shoulders. We walked the girls out.
"Don't say what you said when we met Soda Greg. It's not gonna work. Let's just go to home." Shelby said getting in.
"Like Stilwell home??" He asked.
"No home. Like by the Curtis house."
"Ok. Bye guys." Greg drove off.

"I'm sorry buddy." Soda said.
"It's not your fault. She agreed to let me show her something tonight that might bring her memory back."
"What?"
"You'll see." I walked off.
"So mysterious." Soda joked.

Dally, Johnny, and Pony showed up.
"So uh, how'd it go?" Dal asked.
"Horrible. The only good thing is she agreed to let me show her something tonight."
"What the D?" Dally asked.
"No. Unless she remembers."
"Man you won't get be gettin any if she doesn't remember you. Unless you start runnin around." Dally said. Not making feel any better.
"Shut up Dally."
"Hey if you have any of those condoms left we bought you can I have 'em?" He asked.
"I'm bigger than you remember?? Ha ha." I smirked.
"That's a bunch of bullshit man. You're the shortest one but you're the biggest one." He whined.
"Tiny but mighty." I joked.
