Chapter 35: Why?
"It's been about two days since we talked to Ron and Hermione is still..." Ginny whispered to Harry. Harry nodded, not knowing what to say.
"Why?" Hermione was repeating to herself. Hermione hadn't eaten at all since she found out about the bet Draco made with Pansy Parkinson.
"Why must these things happen to me?" Hermione cried.
Ginny and Harry looked at Hermione, their hearts broken. Hermione was lying on the bed in her room, eyes closed as she whispered to herself.
She looked as if she was having a nightmare and she most certainly was.
Tears continued to roll down her pale cheeks as Hermione cried silently.
"I can't believe she's doing this to herself. I mean, I didn't realise why she even liked Malfoy in the first place. She's been like this ever since..." Ginny said but she was interrupted by the sound of the knocking of the front door.
Hermione's eyes fluttered open as she laid still and calm. She got up and slowly walked down the stairs.
The sound of the knocking could still be heard.
Hermione opened the front door and the sight in front of her made her widen her eyes.
