Chapter 39: Umm... this is getting a little PG 13, don't you think?

"Hermione." Draco breathed out after a long moment of silence.

"Tell me why you made that bet. I want to know." Hermione demanded.
Draco shook his head before looking at Hermione straight in the eye.

"Believe me. I love you. So much. I never agreed to that bet. That day at Diagon Alley, I disappeared because I saw Pansy was signalling for me to meet her. I was curious so I went. That was when she suggested the bet. Though I told her that I would never agree to it and walked away." Draco said, his eyes pleading Hermione to believe him.

" Trust me, Hermione." Draco continued.

"Why should I trust you?" Hermione asked harshly.

" Because... I love you." Draco said. Hermione snorted.

"Well, think of it this way. If I didn't love you and to me you were still just a mudblood, would I do this?" Draco said before walking to Hermione and pressing his lips onto hers.

Hermione was tensed up for a split second before she started kissing him back. She could feel fireworks explode when her lips came in contact with Draco's. As their lips moved in sync, Hermione found herself enjoying the sweet kiss.

" Umm.... this is getting a little PG 13, don't you think?" Ron interrupted.

Hermione smiled, pulling away from Draco.

"I... I believe you." Hermione whispered.

To you readers, it might seem weird that Hermione just believes Draco because of his words and the kiss, so let's rewind to BEFORE Hermione was captured.

* 2 Hours before Hermione was captured. *

" Hey. Who sent you here?" Hermione asked the owl that had flown into the room through the open window. The owl was a bronze shade, with deep green eyes that had a slight tinge of silver in them.

" A letter? For me?" Hermione asked as the owl dropped the silver envelope attached to it's right leg. The letter was dropped right in front of Hermione and Hermione picked it up, slowly taking out the yellow piece of parchment in the envelope.

On the parchment was the most beautiful handwriting Hermione had ever seen.

"It's from... Draco?" Hermione said to herself curiously. She read it and she knew that there was no way Draco could be lying. Why would he lie if he had already gotten his bet money?

Ginny and Harry cannot know about this. They won't understand. Because... they don't know about... anything. Hermione thought.

*back to the present.*

Hermione knew that she could trust Draco. This was the thing that she didn't know about the bet. That Draco never agreed to it. But...

"Draco, when me, Harry and Ginny found you with Pansy, you said that you DID agree to that bet to get closer to me."

" Well... I do remember something about what happened before you, Harry and Ginny saw me and Pansy." Draco said.

A/N*

Long...chapter! Don't worry, guys! I'm fine! *waves a hand frantically like a lunatic * So... Draco and Hermione kissed! Yay! Finally!

I was absolutely DYING to write that ever since I started the book. Phew. I'm... done...with this chapter... Anyway, if you haven't figured out already, the letter that was sent to Hermione was the letter that Draco has written in Chapter...32. Yes. In this chapter, you will have to do a lot of thinking of how it connects to Hermione's thoughts in earlier chapters. Yes... then everything will fit in place... Though, don't worry. I haven't forgotten about Astoria. *wink*

Well, until the next chapter then! Bye!
