* This is Draco's POV of when he proposes to Hermione. It's not part of the story, it's just a scene I've decided to write. *
Draco's POV
What if she says no?
I'm pretty sure she's not going to say no.
But what if she expects me to get down on my knees or something?
She's going to forgive you for not doing that.
Since when was I ever nervous about anything?
When Professor McGonagall punishes you.I'm having a debate with myself and I can't help it.
Hermione is really just right over there. Looking at the stars. One minute to midnight. My heart just skipped a beat. I have one minute to talk myself out of it but I don't know if I want to miss the perfect night to do it.
A voice in my mind encourages me.
Go for it.And I walked. Every step I took felt like I was a step closer to heaven.
Stop being so mushy, Draco.
Right.
"Hey." I say as I laid down on the grass next to Hermione.
"Hi." she replied as she turned her head towards me.
I look at the sky and I am reminded of the night me and Hermione talked and laughed under the stars. I looked at my watch.5 seconds to midnight.
5...4...3...2...1... Midnight. Do it, Draco.
The voice at the back of my mind is so creepy.
"Hermione... Have you ever wondered how it would be like to be a Malfoy?"
I ask.Hermione smiles ever so gently.
" Not really."
"Wanna find out?"
" I'll marry you, Draco. "
There was silence.
Hermione suddenly broke into laughter. She clutched her sides and laughed as she looked at my puzzled expression.
" You should have just asked directly. "
" Clever you." I started laughing as well.
There we sat. Just laughing together. Under the dark sky lit by dozens of stars.
