Noel had dyed his hair a chestnut brown and Julian could tell he didn't like it as he kept fiddling with it.

"You're sure this is going to be okay and safe?"

Or maybe it wasn't about his hair.

"It's the best bet we've got at the moment"

Julian was driving them to his cousin's house in Eastern Europe. It had been a few weeks since they became fugitives. They were sick of hotel rooms already and craved human interaction with people other than themselves. Julian had gotten in contact with a distant cousin who offered them protection and affection.

"We here yet?"

"Just around the corner"

Julian drove into the suburban street but got an awful fright. He had promised Noel would be greeted with a rose garden and a picket fence and a porch swing but those were all blocked out by the horrific sight.

"Julian, are those coppa cars?"

Julian kept driving up the street and passed his cousin's house in hopes they were too quick to recognise. Noel's face hinted Julian was in a lot of trouble after they got out of that situation.

It had been a while since Julian had arrived in Cincinnati. He poured apple juice into Arthur's cup all the whilst rubbing one of his tired eyes.  It was six in the morning and he was helping his son get ready for school. He would've been more than thrilled to do it any other day had he not been up with Walter who could barley breathe at the hospital all night.

"Brush your hair"

"I did"

"Do it again" Julian insisted and Arthur groaned but drunk the rest of his juice and waddled off to the bathroom, "And brush your teeth!"

"If you kiss me, we could stop arguing and be kissing instead, why haven't you thought of this already?"

Julian was taken aback by this sudden request considering not two minutes ago Noel told him to 'go die in a hole'. It didn't stop him from dropping the hotel key in his hand and placing his now free hands on Noel's flushed cheeks.

"Much better"

They fell onto the hotel bed.

Julian hurried Arthur into the car after he tucked his school bag in the boot. He took a deep breath and started heading for the primary school.

"Dad! Dad!"

"Yes?"

"You forgot to make me lunch"

Julian withheld a groan. He didn't want Arthur to think he didn't enjoy getting him ready for school, he was just exhausted.

"I'll give you money when we pull up, okay?"

"Yay!"

He looked into the rear-view mirror and had to grin at his son's grin. He reached a hand back and patted his knee.

It felt like a lifetime Julian was gone when he went out to get a rental movie. He hated showing his face in public. He was so paranoid that he would be recognised and arrested right on the spot. Yet he'd do anything for Noel, even if it meant risk it all for two hours of video entertainment. They had been doing this for six months now.

Julian entered the room after using the special knock and his room key.  He was too impatient to wait for Noel to answer the door but it appeared he wasn't planning to anyway. There he was, naked and sprawled out on the bed. His hair was now blue in colour, as if that was inconspicuous. The only thing that covered his cock was two plane tickets.
