Chapter 13: The trial

"Okay (Y/N), you will join Hanji up on the court room's balcony. Got it?" I nodded and stood by Hanji. You waited until Erwin was done giving instructions to everyone. Once he was done, he gave the signal to leave. Hanji looked at me and said, "Hey (Y/N). You can go ahead. I need to speak to Eren first." I nodded and made my way to the court room. As I climbed the balcony stairs, I examined everyone who were already there. The Military Police were on one side while some of the Survey Corps were on the other side. There was also villagers on both of each sides. I noticed the judge wasn't here yet, so the trial won't start until later on. Once I got to the top, I saw some members of the Military Police up there. I proceeded farther to the balcony, and decided to take my time and look around before the trail started.

I gulped some of my saliva down my throat. The trail had just started. I looked down to see Eren chained up to this 'pole' thing. Levi and Erwin were already there along with other members of the Survey Corps. As the judge got ready, I fixed my jacket abit. The judge started out with saying Eren's name,  and said how Eren said that he would do all it takes to protect humanity. Then the jury explained how he would be the one to decide to keep Eren alive, or decide to kill him. Part of me hoped that they would let Eren survive. The other part felt like Eren should have a right to die, but in the end, I went with my good instinct. I didn't get to hear half of what he was saying since Hanji and Mike came up to join me. Mike stood beside me while Hanji stood on his left side. I stared at them for a moment but then focused back on the trial. The Judge said something about determining his fate. "We began with the Miltary Police." I faced over to the side where the military police where in. Nile introduced himself to the crowd and presented his case. Nile said that he should be killed and disposed of immediately. He said it would be for the greater good of humanity. I shook my head. Eren shouldn't be killed, he might actually be a secret weapon for humanity. "Now I would like to hear what the Scout regiment have to propose." The judge began to say. Erwin only began to say a few words by saying that he would like Eren to join their ranks as part of they Survey corps and that they could use him to recover Wall Maria. I agreed with Erwin. Eren could actually help us get back Wall Maria. Erwin began explaining his plan. A certain citizen started protesting about it, but you heard Levi say, "Squealing louder won't help your case pig." You gave a small cheer in your head. 'Good job Levi! Teach him who's boss!' I almost was about to yell it out, but I would be acting like a crazy idiot if I did. I continued to hear their intense convention, which made it very interesting. After it was done, the judge told Eren if he could still serve humanity by controlling his titan powers. Eren responded with a quick yes. But then the judge started saying something else. "Well this report here denies that statement. Just  after transforming, seems you made an attempt to crush Mikasa Ackerman." I looked over to see Eren facing the black-haired girl with a shocked face. 'So her name's Mikasa Ackerman.' I repeated that to myself until I remembered her name. The judge asked who Mikasa was, and the black-haired girl responded that it was her. The judge then asked her if it was true that Eren tried to crush her. She hesitated for a moment, but responded with a yes after. The crowds of people started whispering to eachother. But Mikasa quickly defended him by saying that he also saved her twice by using his titan powers. She described both occasions which seemed interesting and fascinating to hear. After Nile objected that case. Nile explained how Mikasa was adopted by the Yeager family a few years back, but he also said that they made a shocking discovery about them. He explained that when they were children, Miskasa was kidnapped by three men, and how Eren came and helped Mikasa resulting in stabbing  the three men to their deaths. You gasped along with the crowd, but kept it slient. Nile said that it was a act of self defense, but that it could be a danger to humanity. Again, everyone started to whisper to eachother about this. But then the 'pig'  started saaying nonsense about Mikasa being a titan too. I didn't believe it. If she was, wouldn't she have used it by now? Or maybe used it on the both occasions when Eren saved her? I quickly turned my attention to Eren when he started arguing about how he didn't care that they called him a monster, but then said that Mikasa had nothing to do with it. As Eren kept arguing with the man, I felt shivers run though my body. I then skipped a heartbeat as he almost broke the chains that were keeping him captive. All of a sudden Eren yelled out a bunch of stuff. They crowd looked shocked and eyes wide with fear once he finished talking. Nile then commanded one of his soldiers to shoot Eren. The soldier grapped his gun and pointed it at Eren. I gasped abit. Were they actually going to shoot it at him?

All of a sudden someone kicked Eren. I watched as one tooth came out from his mouth. I then recognized who it was.

Levi....

Levi then kicked him hard in the stomach, having Eren cough out blood. He then pulled Eren by his hair and kicked his knee directly at Eren's face. I could hear the chains shake as Levi kept beating the poor boy. Eren was covered in blood. To top it all off, Levi pinned Eren's head to the floor with his foot. He then scowled Eren on how he shouldn't speak like that and that it wouldn't be allowed in the Survey Corps. Once I thought it was all done, he kept beating up Eren. Nile told him to stop. But he gave Eren one final kick and explained how Eren could be useful. He said that Eren might be a danger later on, but he also said that Eren wouldn't be a problem to take down. 'With me on this side that is' I smirked to myself. Erwin explained that Eren would be under Levi's supervision, and that in time, he would be able to show his true vaule to humanity. The judge told Levi if he agreed. Levi said he did, and that if he would go out of control, then he could easily end his life.

With that the judge shuffled his papers and said, "I have made my decision. Eren Yeager will be joining the Scout regiment under supervision of Captain Levi."

((Phew! Finally done! It's like 4:00 in the morning but I don't care! Well I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and I'll try write the next chapter tomorrow!  (( Well technically later so...)) See you guys later!!!))
