Chapter 21: Just a dream,right?

I danced and giggled through the fields of grass. My white dress flowing behind me as I twirled.

No Titans were in view, No blood, no bodies, screaming

Nothing....

I felt free, free as the wind.

Suddenly, I felt a familiar hand touch my shoulder. In alert, I quickly looked at the person in back of me. I let a smile spread across my lips as I recognized who the person was.

Levi....

He was wearing matching white clothes, a fancy tuxedo and white shoes. His hair was neatly groomed and one of his rare smiles appeared on his face. He reached out a hand towards me, I
gladly took his hand and smiled.
Then, these words came out of his mouth,

"(Y/N) I would like to ask you something....."

He held both of my soft hands with his rough ones. We stared at eachother. I looked at him, blushing at our close contact. He then reached a hand over and stroked my cheek.

He slowly moved his lips towards mine.

Is this a dream?

If it is, I never want it to stop.

I neared my lips closer to Levi's

And!

I felt nothing.....

I realized that in front of me just, air. My expression changed into a depressed one.

Then, from afar, I heard faint screaming. I followed  where the scream was coming from.

I almost vomited at the sight before me....

Many dead bodies were screaming and begging for help, many of these people I recognized. One of them, was my rival, Petra. Blood was dripping from her forehead and her neck looked broken, which made her head look like a monster. Tears flooded her eyes. She tried to reach towards me, but I quickly  escaped the horrifying sight. 'What is happening? Why is everything like this?!?!?' I thought to myself. Suddenly, I fell to the ground, causing to spray my ankle. I screamed in agony, the effect of pain slowly spreading towards my whole body. I clenched my teeth tightly, trying to bare the pain, since I didn't have a nearby aid to use. As I looked towards my sprayed ankle, I felt warm tears flowing on my soft gentle cheeks. I just wished this nightmare would end, or, what if this wasn't a nightmare?

My eyes widened in alarm as I heard loud roaring footsteps heading towards my way. I recognized those footsteps, as you can recognize them from anywhere. Slowly and cautiously, I looked up towards what came towards my way. There it was, staring closely from above at my every move. 

A Titan was observing me, waiting for it's next dinner....

And I would be it's next damn dinner...

By breathing began to fasten, forgetting what to do as the Titan stood inches away from me. My hands scattered the ground, desperately trying to find the touch of metal, used to cut the Titan's neck.

Nothing was to be found.

I didn't know what to do next. Should I move and run? Should I stay still and hope for the Titan to suddenly disappear? 

Oh God how much I wished Levi was here.

I shook my thoughts away, knowing he was not here to help me right now, and that I must take things into my own matter. I took a deep breath, and prepared my legs to leap forward and take a run for it, hoping for a chance to find shelter. The titan didn't seem to take their eyes off me. We were small little children in a village, having a challenging staring contest. Expect, this was no game, nor a one I would wish to participate in. I took once last glance at the Titan, before running in full speed, hoping my legs would not get tired easily because of my earlier accident. Boy, did my leg hurt, as it burned, like a fire bursting in anger while destroying a forest. I tried my best to ignore the pain, but it wouldn't work. Finally, I decided to give up and fell hard on the ground, panting for air as hairy dog during the summertime, well, maybe a bit worse. I then realized, what if I was just dreaming? If so, I could just wake up and get rid of this nightmare, easy right? I laughed, coughing at the same time, my voice turning raspy and  disgusting. I closed my eyes, and suddenly before me, the Titan and me were meeting eye-to-eye, which had me want to scream for help. I decided to reject from that, and instead did something better and more satisfying.

I laughed aloud, my laugh could be heard from afar, and rang into the Titan's ears.

'You foolish Titan! You really want me to scream and cry for help while you eat me with no mercy? Go on! Kill me! Tear me to pieces! Murder me if that's what satisfies you! At least I will die as a Martyr, killed by a titan trying to serve my country. So go on, do what you want, but you will never steal my dignity!'  The Titan just stared at me, it's useless brain not understanding a word I said. I didn't care, at least I said something, something a human probably wouldn't do. I just smiled like an idiot, proud of what I just did. My smile turned into a look of panic and horror as the Titan's large hand headed towards grabbing my body. I dragged myself, trying to get away, I wasn't going to give up yet! Though, it didn't work, the Titan just grasped on me, and slowly had me face-to-face with them. I felt my body sweat uncontrollably as I kicked and hit forcefully toward the Titan's arm. The Titan was not affected by what I tried to do, and panic swelled inside me, infecting my whole body, making my arms and legs shake. This was it, this was how I was going to die, as dinner for the fucken Titan before me. Finally, it lowered me towards it's mouth, about to eat me, I breathed heavily, wanting the titan to disappear. I only had one weapon left, one until I fell into the mouth of this Titan and chomped into pieces like a piece of beef.

'Levi!!!'
