Chapter 20: The books Mikasa bought

A few months have passed, and I could now move my upper body abit more, but my legs still needed some practice. Nothing exciting  had happened lately, and I've have missed one mission so far. For entertainment, I read a book. Books became so interesting to me, and especially since books were so expensive and hard to get. I enjoyed all the characters, settings, plots, and everything else that made up the story. Sometimes I wished my life could be like some related in the books. Free, relaxed, and calm.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. I peered away from my book and looked towards the door. I called out, "Come in!"
Mikasa came in the room and held a pile of books. Immediately I got excited, and she placed the books on my nearby nightstand. "Your welcome (Y/N)," She said hoping for a thanks in return. I smiled at her and gave a nod of thanks. "Were they hard to get? How could you even retrieve them anyway?" I asked my friend. "Well I was walking around town and I found some random stranger selling a couple of books. They were surprisingly cheap, so I decided to buy some." Midlands replied. I nodded and looked at the books, They seemed very interesting, but one caught my eye the most. "What?!?!? How could you get this book?!?!?" I asked with a hint of shock and joy. She seemed confused, but said, "Well the man didn't say that book was special, why are you so excited about that." I looked at her face-to-face. "Mikasa.... This book is rare and hard to find!!!! And it's very expensive!!!"
Suddenly Mikasa's expression changed into shock. "Really!?!? I didn't know tha-" "MIKASA!!!! LEVI WANTS TO SEE YOU!!!" Eren called out from the doorway. Mikasa groaned and muttered under her breath. "What does that midget want now?" Without saying goodbye, Mikasa left with Eren leading her to Levi's office. I cleaned the dust off some of the books and opened them. They seemed old, but in fact, they were only a year old. By the summaries, the books seemed like very good classics.

Before I could start reading, I felt my eyes begin to feel droopy. Leaving the books neatly on my nightstand, I tucked myself in and slowly, went to sleep.

((Anyways, thanks for reading this chapter guys! I know it's about short but I promise I'll make another one soon! The reason I haven't been on much was because I have been very busy in schoolwork and applying for a high school for next year. Now that all of that is settled, I can finally be able to write on Wattpad again! Again, I appreciate you guys reading my stories even while I was gone!
