"God, guys!" said a voice I recognised. "Can you keep the PDAs to a minimum? It's well gross!" That voice... It was TOO familiar - I had grown up with that voice! I had known that voice for the whole of my life! I had left that voice three days ago in Dunbar! No fucking WAY!

"Becca!" I squealed, rushing out of Harry's embrace and running straight into the arms of one of my best friends. "What are you doing here?"

"Mum and Dad had to come down near here for a meeting and so I convinced them to get a hotel room here and take me with them so I could see you!"

"But how did you find me HERE?"

"This really fit guy with an Irish accent told me you had gone this way with your new boyfriend, which really surprised me, because he TOTALLY seemed your type. Bad boy, much? And then I was like, phwaor, so I took HIM down an alley and then ditched him. You know me. But I was genuinely surprised he used 'boyfriend' and 'alley' in the same sentence," Becca explained. Then she added in a whisper, "especially seeing as you and guys don't go too well recently..."

I ducked my head in embarrassment and said quietly, "Harry's amazing. You wait and see." Then I turned and called to Harry. "Oi, Potter! Get over here and meet my friend!"

I looked back to Becca who was looking confused and mouthing the word 'Potter'. Harry wandered over to Becca and introduced himself perfectly like the gentleman he is. "Hello Becca. I'm Harry James, Wallace's boyfriend." I turned to look at him, shocked by the fact he assumed that I wouldn't tell Becca the truth. Then he added, staring purposefully at me, "her REAL boyfriend, if she'll have me."

I couldn't help the grin that spread over my face, and I nodded, biting my lip and taking his hand in mine. I couldn't believe it! After three months of cutting myself off from the world, I had been re-introduced by a lad I had only known for five hours! Harry was truly a dream come true.

He turned his gaze back onto my friend, and I immediately wished Becca wasn't here. She was a really pretty, and was utterly perfect in every single way. She had amazing copper hair that rippled down her back in gorgeous ringlets. Her eyes were the brightest green and her teeth were brilliantly white and straight. She had a streak of green in her hair that matched her eyes beautifully and was wearing the same shade of green in the form of a sundress and a pair of black pumps on her feet and tan tights on her legs. Her face was free of blemishes and the sun was behind her shining into our eyes, making her look like an angel.

Damn, why did I have such a good-looking friend? Why did she have to turn up now, just as I bagged the bloke! She was so gorgeous; surely Harry would take one look at me, compare me to Becca and run for the hills.

"Jesus Christ," Harry said, bringing me crashing back to the scene in front of me.

Then I realised who I was with - Becca! Becca was an odd girl. She was petrified of boys. Every time a boy showed any hint of interest in dating, she ran for the hills - literally. She'd run away or just freeze on the spot. It was really weird, and confused us both. We just figured she wasn't ready for a serious relationship. Sure, she'd pulled before, but she'd never been able to have anything remotely serious. So I was pretty confident Becca wouldn't do anything with Harry, because he had just demonstrated he was ready for a relationship (with me, ahem, score!) and so she wouldn't be wanting to get close to him any time soon!

"What do they put in the water in Scotland?!" laughed Harry. I looked at him puzzled, as did Becca. "Well, you two are the first Scottish girls I've seen in five years, and you are both gorgeous! So I'm assuming they put something in the water there," he explained.

"Nah," Becca said, "this look took years of perfection and a nose job."

I laughed and told Becca to shut up. Becca knew she was really pretty, but couldn't let anyone compliment her. Like I said, she's weird. I'd love to be complimented! Oh wait, I just was. Ha! Whoops. Becca was totally lying: she'd never had a nose job before - that was a girl in our year that got one as a reward for getting good grades in her Standard Grades in Fourth Year (umm, Year Ten? I don't know. I don't care!).

"So, how long are you here for, Becca?" I asked, walking out of the alley, pulling Harry with me. I started walking the opposite way from school, into town.

"Two weeks," Becca said, smiling at me. "Then I have to go back for sixth year. It's all over facebook, by the way. Everyone knows you've gone, and the majority know the reason why."

"How?" I asked, shocked.

"Andrew," Becca said simply, rolling her eyes. "He put it as his status. Nadine, Lou and I all had a go at him, which erupted into a full-scale facebook argument with all his mates getting involved. And then HE got involved, and so both Andrew's mates and the girls started on him, and I'm constantly checking facebook on my phone to see what his response was. He's such a dick - he does THAT to you, resulting in you leaving the fricking COUNTRY and then he has the cheek to think he can blame YOU for it all on facebook! Nuh uh, babe. When I get back, there's going to be some serious revenge to dish out."

"Woah, back up," interrupted Harry. "What's going on? Who's 'he' and what the hell has happened!" There was a moment of silence when no one spoke and Becca and I just looked at each other. Then Harry tentatively asked: "are you in a girl Mafia group in Scotland?"
