Day 62- 10:49am
The Doctor Who theme started playing on my phone. My head snapped towards my jacket. I set my pistol down and grabbed my phone.
"Hey, Charlie," I greeted.
"Hey, Millie," Charlie replied. I set my phone on my shoulder and continued to clean my gun. "So how did the hunt go?
"Uh," I made eye contact with my brothers who were sitting at the table combing over research. "We're still working on it. The chick we thought was the witch... was not the witch, we're not even sure it is a witch."
"So you're not making it to dinner?" I could hear the disappointment in her voice.
"Sorry, we can't make it, but don't not do it just because we aren't there," I added the last bit quickly.
"It's alright, you guys should still do something though," Charlie answered. I let out a small laugh.
"A Winchester thanksgiving is a bucket of extra crispy chicken, and being passed out on the couch," I answered. My brothers looked over at me giving questioning looks.
"Happy thanksgiving, Millie," Charlie sighed.
"You too, Charlie," I replied. "Bye." I hung up my phone and put it back in my jacket.
"How'd she take it?" Sam asked. I sighed and made sure I put my pistol together right.
"She was disappointed... She tried to hide it, but she's a terrible liar," I answered. "So maybe we take a little break tonight? Get some crispy chicken like we used to do?"
"Millie, I don't know," Sam started, looking to the book in front of him.
"Some pie too?" I added with a smirk.
"Yeah, we're taking a break," Dean grinned.
"You and your pie," Sam groaned. I laughed and tucked my pistol away.
"Any idea on what it is?"
"So get this-"
Day 62- 5:24pm
I placed the bag of food on the table. I hid the pie away knowing Dean would attempt to eat it the moment he saw it. My head snapped towards the door as it opened. My brothers walked through, Dean carrying a twelve pack and Sam carrying paper plates and plastic utensils.
"Did you get it?" Dean asked with an eager smile on his face.
"Of course, but I am not telling you where it is," I replied. Sam set the table while I grabbed the food. I bought a bucket of chicken from KFC.
"Well it's better than what we usually do," Dean commented, sitting down. I shook my head and laughed.
"Yeah, now hand me a beer," I answered with a small smile. I popped the cap on my boot and took a sip, setting my feet up on the table. "Hold on I've got an idea."
"Oh boy," Sam sighed. I grabbed my phone and clicked on camera.
"Smile!" I held it up so you could see the three of us and our food. I sent the picture to our group chat with everyone else. Charlie named it 'squad goals' and it confused all the angels. I added the caption 'A Winchester thanksgiving- a bucket of crispy chicken and a 12 pack of beer' Charlie responded with a laughing emoji. Then she sent a picture of their food- well I think feast would be more accurate. I rolled my eyes and texted back 'Show offs' I set my phone down and we ate.
