Day 197- 2:21pm

I parked the car in the lot and got out. I stretched my legs. The breeze was very apparent. It was surprising warm especially for the shores of the east coast. I took in a deep breath and smiled. I walked to the little booth.

"Hello, I'd like to rent a kayak," I smiled. The person sitting there looked up. He quickly got up.

"It's 20 dollars for the first hour and another ten for each additional hour. How many people does it need to seat?"

"Just me," I replied. "For two hours."

"Alright, that'll be- ha! Well I'll be damned," there was a look of recognition on his face. His accent changed. "Raine Nightshade. It's been a long time." Instantly I recognized the Scottish accent. A smile quickly appeared on my face. I slipped into a British accent. Man, I missed d&d.

"Girdreck Bronzesword, how's the dragon hunting?" I chuckled. He walked out of the booth. I hugged him tightly. "Travis, it's been a while."

"Four years now?" He replied. "How have you been Millie? And brings you back to New Jersey?"

"I've been pretty good, I'm getting married in a few days, but I- I needed to come see her." I cast my gaze down.

"I'm glad you moved on. I know Jenny would have wanted you to," he replied, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"I know, but I still feel like I need to at least let her know," I replied.

"In that case. No charge for the hero of Ospein," he smiled. I laughed- I hadn't played d&d in forever.

"Thank you, Gird," I clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Are you guys still keeping the game going?"

"Yeah." He nodded. "We're having a game tonight if you can stick around."

"You still a ruthless dungeon master?" I asked with a weary look.

"Oh yeah," he replied with a smirk. I'll just get Cas to pick me and my Ivy up.

"I'm in. When's the game?"

"Same bat-time same bat-channel as always. You still got your dice?"

"Nope, but I am making a stop at the storage unit. I'll be there." Travis lightly punched me in the arm. He took my hand looking at the ring.

"So what's her name?" He asked. I laughed and threw my head back a bit.

"His name is Lucifer." I replied.

"Hm. Cool name. Well take your pick," he gestured back to the kayaks on racks.

"Thanks, Travis," I hugged him again.

Day 197- 3:15pm

It didn't take long to find the spot. I knew the spacing between the small islands of grass. I stopped paddling and brought myself to a stop. I took a breath and ran a hand gently through the cold water.
.
.
"Water's cold," I chuckled.

"Well it's still March, Millie," Jenny replied. I turned to her. Her blue hair was pulled up into a bun ad strays blew in the wind.

"I know that," I scoffed. "Why are we out here again?"

"We've been cooped up inside all winter. I'm starting to get an itch to hunt and this is a better option." She replied.

"Makes sense." I sighed and leaned back a bit in my kayak, lounging. "I mean other than the fact that it's like fifty degrees (10 Celsius) out here it's nice."
