Day 248- 6:21pm
"I mean you're welcome to come, but I cannot guarantee they won't try to kill you," I sighed as I pulled on my jacket. Hopefully, I wouldn't need a jacket much longer.
"I'm surprised you even got invited." Crowley leaned on the war room table.
"It's not really an invite thing," Sam added. "But it's finally gotten to a point where road houses are safe again."
"Thanks to me," I smiled. "And my royal decrees."
"Of course." Sam tossed Dean the keys.
"We'll be back in a bit. We don't plan on staying too long," Dean said.
"Don't drive back drunk or I swear to Chuck," Charlie growled.
"We'll call, okay?" I put my hands up in defense. "Then Meg will pop you over."
"Good." Charlie crossed her arms. "I'll be watching the traffic cams."
"I'd expect nothing less," I replied as we walked out of the war room.
Day 248- 6:56pm
"I thought we were in a drought?" I commented as the rain poured down.
"I guess not," Sam replied. We pulled down the dirt road and we could see the road house. The usual trucks and classic cars sat out front.
"I don't wanna get wet," I grumbled as I pulled my hood up. My brothers followed suit.
"Alright, ready? Go!" We jumped out of the car and rushed to the door. There was no over hang so we were forced to go rush inside. We stepped in just as a flash of lightning crashed outside and rain came down even harder.
"Well if that wasn't perfect timing," I chuckled. I could feel the eyes of everyone on us as we stepped in. It was a hunter thing.
"Well look what the cat dragged in!" Lionel, the owner, yelled from behind the bar. "Winchesters! Fresh from hell I presume?"
"Haven't been in months," Dean shot back with a smile.
"I was there the other day," I added as I raised my hand with a chuckle. Lionel walked from behind the bar. He was a big dude. By some miracle he was bigger than Sam. He hugged Dean, lifting him a few inches off the ground. Then he did the same to Sam and I. Ow.
"Word is you guys haven't been on a hunt in months," Lionel chuckled.
"Been busy with life," Sam added with a nervous chuckle as we sat down at the bar.
"Really? You guys having a life outside of hunting?" Another hunter shouted out. There was laugh that went through the room. We had kept most of the marrying angels thing on the down low.
"Is that really surprising?" I replied.
"So why'd you guys come?"
"A new road house opening up? We had to come show our pretty faces," I smirked, sipping my beer.
Day 248- 7:48pm
"So is it true?"
"What?" Dean replied, turning to the hunter.
"Word is that you married Castiel, the angel." She stared at Dean earnestly.
"Yep. I am unfortunately off the market," Dean sighed. Just as I opened my mouth to comment I felt something. I glanced to Sam and Dean. They both shifted. I glanced outside to see lighting crack. I went to Lionel.
"Hey, do you normally get this kind of weather?" I questioned.
"Sometimes. Why?"
"Electric storm," I half whispered and gave him a knowing look.
