Revenge

Chapter 4

After a long afternoon battling, Ash, Legend and Avi won 5 victories for their team; resulting them being in ninth place after the first day.

"Welp, I'm beat!" Legend said as he stretched, "I'm going to the Pokemon Center for the night, good night teammates!" he chimed before he took right off.

"Avi, he really doesn't seem bad..." Ash said, really confused.

"He's bad news, I don't know what he's up to but it's not good..." she said angrily.

"Maybe he isn't doing what you think he's doing..."

"Ash, he's playing innocent! Please don't tell me you're going against me!" she asked, sounding slightly hurt.

"N-no, not at all!" Ash said, raising his hands up defensively, "It just doesn't add up is all... I'll be sure to keep my guard up..."

"Thank you... And I'm sorry for that slight episode..." She apologized.

"Don't worry it's okay..." he replied, "So where ya heading?"

"I was planning on setting up camp in the forest since everywhere is booked..." Avi replied, gesturing to her slightly thick backpack on her back.

"Why don't you come to my place? We have a guest room you can use and it'll be safer than you being out in the open..." he offered.

She smiled a bit, "Yeah alright, thank you Ash..."

"Of course! Now c'mon!" he exclaimed as he grabbed her hand and ran back to his house. She laughed, "Slow down Ash! I can run!"

Pikachu and Raichu followed behind her, happy to see their friends and trainers getting along so well.

They started reaching the path to Professor Oak's lab and Ash decided to take the detour. "Do you live here???" Avi asked.

"No, this is the professor's lab. I want you to meet my Pokemon!" he replied.

"Oh okay, that'll be great!" she replied, shocked at the sudden decision. Ash jumped over the fence and helped Avi over, Pikachu and Raichu going underneath the fence.

"Hey everyone, come on out! I want you to meet someone!" Ash said as his Pokemon suddenly started swarming out. His pack of Tauros suddenly came out and trampled him down affectionately, Avi freaking out. "Ash!" she exclaimed.

"It's fine!" Ash said, dirt and dust coming out as he spoke. Ave helped him up and dusted his shirt off. "That happens to me with my mom's Growlithe and two Arcanine's!" she laughed.

A sudden gush of water came straight at Avi, and Raichu quickly used Iron Tail to reflect it.

"What the...???" Avi looks then spots Ash's Totodile. He jumps like he's happy, but then he sprays more water at Avi.

"Raichu, thunder please!" she exclaimed. Raichu blocked the water gun with his tail, then he shocked Totodile enough to stun him.

"Totodile, that wasn't very nice!" Ash exclaimed, "Say sorry now!"

Totodile apologized in his language, and he looked sad afterwards. "It's okay Totodile, I would get on the defense as well if it's this dark and a stranger is here too..." she smiled. She pet him, and he jumped in joy.

"Everyone, this is Aviana. She's competing in the tourney with me and we're on a team right now. She's new to Kanto so I figured that it would be cool to let her meet you all," he said with a smile.

They all chanted at once, welcoming Aviana. She smiled big, "It's really nice to meet all of you," she waved. Suddenly, there was a loud cry from the far end of the lab.
