Chapter 9

"Raichu, your time is here!" she says, throwing his Pokeball. Out he came, doing a flip and pumped to fight.

"Tyranitar my friend, let's annihilate!" he says. Tyranitar comes out and lands hard, the ground shaking the ground and Raichu kept his stance so he didn't fall over from the rumbling.

"Avi may be at a disadvantage here..." Delia says. "If Tyranitar knows some ground moves then yes, but I know she may have some tricks up her sleeve..." Bella smiles.

"You may go first, my dear," Legend teases.

Avi bites her lip, "Raichu, iron tail!" she exclaims. Raichu then launches himself into the air and charges his tail with some flips then slams it down on Tyranitar. Tyranitar takes the hit but then grabs Raichu's tail. Raichu freaks out as Tyranitar slams him down to the ground.

"Do you feel the pain, Avi? The pain of seeing your Pokemon fall one by one??? Because that's the same pain you inflicted on me!" Legend exclaims.

"Legend, our battle before was not compared to what's happening now! This is intent to kill, not compete!" Avi exclaims. She puts the bag of ice down and takes off the sling that's holding her arm. "I know my Pokemon, I won't show any vulnerability when they need me! Raichu, you alright?"

Raichu gets up with a slight hesitation, but flexes his muscles and cries out proudly that he's ready for more.

"Pikachu!!!" Pikachu encourages, pumped to see his new friend dominate in battle.

"Rai Rai!" Raichu waves back at him.

"You can do it, Avi!" Delia and Bella exclaim in unison. Avi nods then focuses on the battle once more.

"Alright, dig!" she exclaims. Raichu scurries quickly to make a hole and goes inside, Tyranitar not flinch or react in any way. Legend kept a gaze on Avi, the battlefield getting quiet.

"It's like he's trying to say something to her..." Ash says to himself, then it suddenly hits him, "Avi, get Raichu out!"

Avi suddenly understands the situation but reacted too late, "Tyranitar, squish the rat with earthquake!"

"Raichu, no!" the earth started shaking and Avi sees the tunnels Raichu made while he was underground collapse on themselves. The audience is holding on to the railings and chairs, trying not to fall from the earth shaking violently. Dratini wrapping himself around Ash and Ash holding onto him and Pikachu while Bella held Lucy and Professor Oak held Delia and Bella.

After the earthquake stopped, Avi frantically looked around for Raichu. Raichu was standing on a huge chunk of land that was now sticking out, panting heavily and had many injuries on his body. She sighs in relief, "Buddy, I'm so sorry... I panicked..." she apologizes.

"Rai Raichu..." he smiles at her, knowing she wasn't at fault.

Legend growls, "If that wasn't enough, let me teach you another lesson! Hyper beam!" he exclaims. Tyranitar starts charging and Avi looks at the battlefield.

"Raichu, look around! There's holes you can hide in!" Raichu nods and starts running behind different rocks and holes as the hyper beam is being fired. The beam eventually weakens and the attack ends, and Tyranitar is motionless.

"Focus blast!" Avi yells proudly. Raichu throws himself and gets ready with his attack. The attack hits, but Tyranitar smacks Raichu hard enough into the wall and makes him faint.

"Raichu is unable to battle! Tyranitar is the winner!" the proctor declares.

"What a turn of events!" the announcer yells in shock as half the crowd cheers and the other half stay quiet, fearful if Avi were to lose this match.
