Revenge

Chapter 5

The rest of the week passes quickly and Avi, Ash, and Legend earned their seats to the second round by placing in fourth. During that week, Avi stayed at Ash's place and stayed up late talking to Ash about all kinds of things: Pokemon, the leagues they've participated in, contests, everything. It's to the point that she stays with Ash in his room instead of the guest room. Her Pokemon get along great with his, both in the lab and the ones that are with him for the tournament. 

Pikachu and Raichu have been close, practically brothers. The rest of the Pokemon got along splendidly and even fought together in battle in perfect synchronization as if they've been doing it their whole lives. Ash has always had fun with his friends and Pokemon in these kind of events, but he was having a blast with Avi and wish it never ended.

Both are laying in his bed, which has been upgraded to be a king size bed due to him growing taller and letting some of his Pokemon sleep with him when he's back home. Avi has her arms behind her head serving as a pillow as she stares up at the ceiling. They just finished talking about their Sinnoh league experience, both ending identical to each other except she was closer to winning than he was. She then turned to her side and her breathing and silence signified that she fell asleep. 

Ash was struck in awe when she changed into pajamas the first night she was there; she had really long curly hair under the hood and curves he didn't imagine any female her age would have. He kept himself together and resisted looking at her whenever she wasn't in her normal attire. And being a boy with his hormones, it wasn't working out well whenever she was with him. He knew he wasn't looking for a relationship because he wants to focus on his goal to become a Pokemon Master. He did some thinking on why he was so adamant about it, and he realized that he didn't want to do what his father did: start a family and let the itch of a journey make him part ways with his family and practically never be there. He wouldn't want to put anyone through that, especially Avi.

He caught himself with that last thought and went downstairs to get water. Pikachu hears Ash get out of bed and goes with him. Ash grabs his cup of water and sits at the table with it, just staring at it and thinking many different things.

"Pika Pika..." Pikachu says, sitting on the table in front of his best friend.

"I'm just confused buddy... I really do like her... But I already told you why I don't want to hold on to her... But I can't just let her go after this tourney..." he says sadly. Pikachu's ears then go up and he looks over at the doorway. Ash notices and looks over as well, and there stands Avi's Lucario.

"Oh, hey Lucario... Did we wake you up?" Ash asked a little nervously, rubbing the back of his head. Lucario shook his head and sat with him, Ash dumbfounded since Lucario only stayed close to Avi whenever they were out. Ash felt a sudden jolt of energy through him and head, "She's not a complicated person... She's conflicted just like you..."

Ash freaked out and fell out of his chair, "Pika-Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.

"Ash relax! It's just me!"

"L-Lucario...???" he questioned. Lucario nods.

"I know you're able to sense aura. I figure we can speak easier this way..."

"W-wow... I wasn't expecting that..." Ash muttered, then got up and picked up the chair.

He sighs, "I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one confused... Aviana has been enjoying herself a little too much here; too much for her liking... And she doesn't know how to feel just like you do right now..."

"Why is she feeling conflicted?" Ash asks, completely oblivious about why he's saying this.

"You are dense..." he chuckles, "She likes you like how you like her!"

"Whoa wait???" he blushes, "Who says I like her?!"

"It isn't hard to see, Ash... Decidueye notices and teases her about it, and Delphox likes to use her psychic powers to mess around too. Also Pikachu, Raichu, Buizel and Hawlucha like to talk about it too, it's really obvious to us but you guys,"

Ash sat there in silence, thinking about what Lucario just told him. He likes her? She likes him? He didn't think he would face a situation like this, especially feeling so conflicted about letting go of her and keep going with his dreams. He didn't want to let go of her, he didn't want her to be another Misty, Serena, Dawn, May, or Iris.

Ash looks up to talk to Lucario but he's gone. He looks at the clock, he's been sitting there for a few hours since it was 3am. Pikachu was curled up on the counter asleep and he figured he needed to sleep as well. He picked up Pikachu and went back to his room. He puts his best friend back where he was sleeping and gets back into bed, Avi curled up on her side of the bed. After he settles in and starts falling asleep, Avi adjusts herself and cuddles with Ash. His heart starts racing, but accepts it and hugs her close; peacefully drifting off to sleep with Avi in his arms.

The next day, Avi is outside by the nearby lake feeding the shy Pokemon that doesn't want to come out of it's PokeBall. They were at the far end so Ash couldn't make out which Pokemon it was, and it bugged him so much.

Ash ate his breakfast and finished feeding his Pokemon. By 9am, he met with Avi at the door.

"Ready to go?" she asked with a smile. He smiled and nodded, then took off to the small stadium.

As they reached the stadium, a random Lucario approached Avi. She squealed and hugged it excitedly, "You're here!" she smiles big, warming Ash's heart.

"You have another Lucario?" Ash asks.

Avi releases her hug and looks at Ash, "This is my mom's Lucario, Lucy. She's my Lucario's mother; which means my mom made it!" she says excitedly.

A woman then comes up to them, "Did you really think I would miss an opportunity to see you in action, Avi?" she says. Ash looks at the woman; she has the same colored eyes as Avi along with same skin tone. along with the same wavy hair but hers was a dark brown. She had on a red dress and tall black boots and had a belt around her waist with some PokeBalls. To top it off, she had a Mega Stone on a long chain around her neck identical to one Lucy had around her neck.

"Mama!" Avi smiled huge. She ran over and hugged her, and got a hug back. Ash smiles and so does Pikachu, "She's so happy buddy..." he says.

"Pika Pika..." Pikachu agrees.

"It's great to see you again darling! I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you too mama!" Avi giggles. "You gotta meet my new friend, Ash!"

Ash smiles and looks away, blushing.

"I pretty much already have," she laughs, gesturing to Delia right behind her.

"Mom???" Ash asks. "Hi sweetie!" she smiles, "I ran into Belle after you kids went running out of the house. She asked me to help bring her here, so Professor Oak gave us a ride here!" she explained.

"Of course, you can always rely on him," Ash chuckles.

"Well don't let us hold you back, get in there and battle your hearts out! We'll be cheering for you in the stands!" Delia cheered.

"Okay! Wish us luck!" Ash and Avi say in unison as they run off together to register for the day.

"They're made for each other," Belle says as she waves to them.

"I told you!" Delia giggles as she waves to them
