I opened my eyes to pitch blackness my neck suprisingly not stiff from my position on the floor due to the fact I had way too much experience laying on one.
I guess that I am in a dark room with no light whatsoever but I couldn't focus on that however but on how much pain I was in. It hurt to breath and it felt like someone put boiling silver on my eyes and it was forming a puddle in my head from the way it burned. My head felt like it was crushed then put back together than crushed again. I try focusing on something else to distract myself from the pain, taking a deep breath I take in the pungent smell of blood and metal, enhancing my hearing I can hear the chatter of two people making me more curious of wondering where the hell I am.
Then as if all at once my memories come back to me and I remember what led me here and instantly realized where I was; Pack cells. Well isn't this just fantastic.
I instantly touch my body but found a cloth on it making me instantly let out a breath. At least they dressed me before locking me in here. I was just about to get up from my position on the floor and investigate my surroundings before I heard the sound of footsteps and a cell door opening. But not just any cell door, my cell door. I squint and ready my eyes for the light about to pour in but surprised when I see the same pitch blackness. Strange.
Hearing heavy footsteps take steps towards me I decide to stay seated as to not give this person the suggestion that I would attack them and decided to see how this played out, but that made me realize, I couldn't really see in this dark room.
"Hey. Whoever you are, can you do us both a favor and turn on the lights." I could hear the footsteps instantly stop and I wondered if I offended whoever it was. As I waited for someone to yell or hit me they spoke.
"Um... the lights are on." a male stated.
I furrowed my eyebrows at their weird psychological tactics supressing a groan at the pain of the action. "No. They aren't because I can only see blackness so if this is a tactic to get me confused it's not going to work." I said trying to spot where the figure was in the pitch blackness.
I hear the man take a deep breath before hearing his fast steps retreat out of the cell letting the sound of it close behing him reverberate through the empty room. I huff out a breath at his lack of response and enhance my hearing when I hear talking "- a problem" I hear him say.
"Well, what is it?" The female voice sounds familiar but I can't seem to remember from where, responded to him.
"I think we need to call the pack doctor for the rogue you brought in." Oh so he's talking to that woman who caught me. Why do they need to bring the pack doctor, I didn't even complain about any pain, and even then they wouldn't send the doctor down so what's going on?
"What do you mean? Why? I thought her injuries were healed already." They aren't seeing as I'm still in pain. I answered in my head.
"They are, its just that... she can't see. I think she may be blind." His voice whispers out.
I feel my heart skip a beat. This isn't possible I mean judging from the way my eyes still hurt they can't fully be healed. I raise my hand in front of my face and try to see if there is a faint outline of it but come up empty.
I hear footsteps stop that end outside of I'm guessing the cell door. I wave my hand to try to catch some, any light from the movement but all I'm met with is blackness.
"Call the pack doctor and the alpha we have a problem here." I hear her shout back and a small groan of...annoyance leave her lips. Annoyance? She's annoyed? I'm the one that can't see anything and is locked in the pack cells. This cannot be real.
This cannot be happening.
