Chapter 7 Crazy in Love VS Wings

"I have to say am a little surprised Trent said I could help take down Ian. I mean I am happy to help but I am still surprised he said yes." Tamera said to Kevin getting a tray of food and heading to a table. "Trent thinks you can be useful in a mission. I thought Jared was going to blow up when he heard you would be going to some missions with us." Kevin said taking a seat across from Tamera. "Why is he so against me avenging my family?" Tamera asked shoving food in her mouth not realizing how hungry she had been. "Well, think of it like this. He had been in charge of protecting you for so long just to see you throw yourself at the one guy he was protecting you from." Kevin said looking Tamera. "I guess that's true. Hey, do you want to meet up a cool hangout place called Dans later. It's open mike night and I like to go and listen to all the singers." "Sure, I'll drive." Kevin said grinning at the idea.

When they got to Dans Tamera noticed that Jared was there with Claire and all his friends. Jared also noticed Tamera when she walked in with Kevin and as soon as their eyes meet they both quickly turned away. Kevin and Tamera sat at a table so they could get a good view of the stage. "So did you and Jared use to come here? Kevin asked her. "Umm, yeah, we did, but that was before I knew the truth." Tamera answered glancing over at Jared as he put his arm around Claire. "Are you going to sing?" Kevin said smirking at her. "What?!? No, I just came to listen to the other people sing." She said playful punching him in the arm.

"First up to the mike is our singing champion CLAIRE!!!" Yelled the DJ. Claire must haved noticed that Tamera had been looking at Jared because before she got up to sing she gave him a long passionate kiss and then glared at Tamera. She walked up to the stage and said "I am going to need Brian up here on the stage with me if I am going to sing this song." Brian then got up and walked up on the stage with Claire."Alright, what are the two of you going to sing?" The DJ asked Claire. "We are going to sing Crazy in Love by Beyonce featuring Jay-Z. This song goes out to my boyfriend." She said pointing at Jared.

The song started and Claire started to sing while dancing with Brian to the beat. "She is supposed to be the singing champion? I mean she not bad, but she's not that good either." Kevin said making a face at Claire's singing. Laughing Tamera replied "Everyone knows that Claire can't sing, but no one is willing to stand up against her." "Oh come on, you could totally take her." Kevin said to Tamera. "I know I could take her. In fact anyone could take her." Tamera said laughing. Finally Claire and Brian finished the song and went to sit down.

Tamera and Kevin didn't realise that one of Claire's friends Kelly was listening to them talk about how bad Claire was singing. Kelly walked over to Claire and said loud enough for everyone in Dans to hear. "Shorty, said that Claire can't sing." Claire looked insanely pissed-off when she heard this while Jared looked shocked. "You think you can sing better. I have my doubts about that. If you think you can do better than go ahead." Claire yelled at Tamera. At first Tamera sat there in silence then she got up and started to walk out. "That's what I thought, Shorty, you act tuff when your hiding in the shadows but, admit it your just a sad Little Bitch that nobody cares about." Claire told Tamera with a huge smile on her face.

Half way out the door Tamera stopped, turned around, and walked over to the stage. "I will be singing Wings by Little Mix and I don't need anyone to help me sing this song unlike Claire." Tamera said smiling at Claire. Jared and Kevin were now standing next to each other with shocked faces because Tamera refused to sing in front of a crowd and now she was about to do just that. The DJ started the song and Tamera nearly made Claire fall over because Tamera had the voice of a goddess. Everyone was cheering louder for Tamera then they had ever done for Claire. Even Jared clapped for her while trying to hide a smirk from Claire. Claire, Brian, Kelly and all the popular kids who knew Tamera were completely paralyzed. The song ended and Tamera walked off the stage and walked by Claire with a proud smile on her face. "Ready to go, Kevin?" Tamera asked. "Yup." Kevin said patting Jared on the back and following Tamera out the door. Jared watched Tamera walk out the door and then looked at Claire who was glaring at him. "What?" He asked as Claire rolled her eyes and walked away.
