Chapter 18 Choices

"Tamera, it's to dangerous I--" But before Jared could finish Tamera was already running into the cross fire going for the serum. Tamera finally made it to the serum which was locked in a bullet proof case. She noticed a pad lock to the right of the case that required a four digit number.

Tamera then remembered one of her dreams when her mom typed in a password to access the serum. She then typed in the her mom had typed in six years ago. "Access granted" The padlock said to her as it opened exposing the serum. Tamera then grabbed the serum and started for the door.

Tamera then heard Ian's voice behind her. "Don't let her escape with serum! Shut down the elevators!" She then made a quick left toward the stairs but instead of going to the lobby she went to the armory. By the time she got to the armory Ian's men had broken through but they all ignored because Ian gave orders to leave her alone. Tamera grabbed just enough C4 for a distraction.

Tamera set up the C4 all around the building just for some cover for her escape. After she was done she made her way to the lobby but half way there as she was running across a metal bridge Ian came in on one end of the bridge while Trent was on the other. "Tamera, give me the serum." Tent said holding his handout. "You can't trust him! All he has ever done to you was lie. Give me the serum." Ian said in a calm voice.

Tamera looked back and forth between Trent and Ian. "Give me the serum!" Ian said in a demanding and harsh voice. The next thing Tamera knew there was a light gray smoke engulfing her. Before she could react a hand grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the smoke and toward a door away from the lobby. "You're insane, you know that!" Jared said with a smirk.

"What the hell are you doing?" Tamera said with an astonished look. "What does it look like an doing? Am here to help What do you need?" Jared said with a reassuring look. "I need you to get me to the laboratory. I know you have one here so take me there." Jared stood there for a moment trying to decide. "Follow me and I'll take you to the lab." he said with a smile.
