Chapter 6 Training

After school Tamera and Kevin went back to headquarters. "Alright, now that Ian has found you we need to get you trained up. It won't be easy. It's not like on the movies or a book were you train for a week or less and suddenly your some assassin. It takes hard work and a lot of time." Kevin said walking to the training room. "I'm ready. Whatever it takes to get pay back on Ian for what he did to my family." Tamera said. "Wow, who said anything about getting pay back" Kevin said giving her a concerned look. "If you really want to be my friend them let me help you take down Ian." Tamera said giving him her best puppy dog face. As if he was debating what to say to her Kevin finally said "Alright! I'll talk to Trent about it until then you will teaching you basic self defense." Pleased Tamera followed Kevin into the training room which had a bunch of work out machines and a boxing rink in the middle of the room. "Let's get started." Kevin said clapping his hands together.

Kevin started by teaching Tamera simple blocks. He then had her go through a series of simple drills. After three hours of training Tamer sank to the floor trying to catch her breathe. "You okay?" Kevin said said not even breaking a sweat. Tamera answered with a glare and a slight grin.

A laugh interrupted them, it was Jared. "Don't tell me your tired already?" Jared said with a smirk. "So how's Claire?" Tamera returned with a smirk. Kevin chuckled and slapped Jared on the back and said "Burn." Glaring at Kevin he told him "We haven't spared in a while. Let's go, Kevin." Giving in Kevin followed Jared to the boxing rink. "Tamera, tell us when to go?" Kevin said to her looking determined. "Go!" She said to the two of them. Without any hesitation Jared charged Kevin with a swift kick. Blocking Kevin threw a punch barely missing Jared's face. The two of them went at it for about seven minutes when Trent walked in. Suddenly Tamera heard a thud, she turned her attention back to the match to see Kevin on his laying on his back. "Alright, you win." Kevin said putting his hands up.

"If you two are done now." Trent said giving the two of them look. "I was led to believe that you were supposed to be teaching Tamera how to fight not have her watch you two goof around." Trent said still giving them a look. "Umm, we were just showing her how it's done. Right, Jared." Kevin said nudging Jared. "Yup, that's it." Jared replied trying to hide a smile. "Sure you are. So Kevin tells me you want to help take down Ian." Trent said looking at Tamera.
