I ran as fast as I could to the courtyard. "Finally Mack!" I heard Zac say. I turned around but he wasn't there. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around again and there he was. "Hi." I said, I looked around and he was there alone. He smiled and looked around. "We're alone...." He said. I nodded. "Is it that obvious?" I smiled. He laughed and I think I heard a groan in there. "Are you okay? You sound like you just groaned." He tried to smile. "Yeah, I'm fine." I looked him over. "No you are not okay, what's wrong?" He shook his head. "It's nothing." I let out a breath. "It's something Zac." He looked up and then back down. "Okay fine. My... friend kicked me in the stomach yesterday, and well it still kinda hurts."
I looked around. "Hurts to laugh?" He nodded. "Kinda does." I slowly nodded and I sat by the fountain. "So what did you want to talk to me about?" He sat beside me. "I found something out, and I know, that you will want to know about it." I could feel tension between us. "What is it?" I said with hesitation.
*Ding Ding Ding* The school bell rang and we had to go. I stood up and left. I could hear Zac shouting for me, but I just kept walking. Finally he stopped. I looked back and he wasn't there. I kept walking and I bumped into Jason. "Oh hi Mack." I looked up and he was about to hold my hand. I glared at him and the only thing I could think of doing was slapping him in the face. So I did it.
He was surprised and his hand went to his face right away. "Mack! What the?" I gave him a fake smile. "Opps, must've been an accident."I rolled my eyes and kept walking. I got into Math class and I went on with it. Zac was there and he put a note on my desk. I looked at it and then I ignored it. Finally class ended and I gathered all my stuff and I left the note.
I think Zac picked it up and he left for his next class. While I went to History Class.
