I got my phone and unlocked it, now there was a small crack in the corner of my screen, but other than that it was fine. I texted Zac and Mr. Johnson. 'Zac, Justin's mad, he is going insane, he just slammed the door, threw my phone, I think he almost tried to kill me, notify your father please, if you can't, I'm sending him a text too.' I sighed and looked up, I had been mumbling the words as I tapped the screen and if Justin was on the other side listening I was doomed. I didn't see or hear anyone coming so I decided to continue texting. 'Mr. Johnson, Hi, if your son hasn't told you yet, Justin seems to be mad, he has thrown my phone across the room, slammed doors, drag me places, and maybe even try to kill me. Please help, thanks, Mack.' I looked up and put my phone on my nightstand. I lay back in my small bed and looked up at the ceiling. I didn't know what to think of this. Christmas was coming up in a few months, and I had nothing. My birthday along with it.
My brother's birthday would come in the new year, and I hadn't figured out what to do. I know his birthday was in January, and it was only the end of October, I'd never figure out what to do. With him acting up, mom was gone, dad back, the school, the accident. How would I ever figure this out? Not only that but the issues I have too, but right now I'm only thinking of my family, not me.
While thinking all this I could feel a burning sensation in my heart, it was pounding hard and my palms had started to get a little sweaty. It was a panic attack. I don't get bad ones, but I still get them. I felt weak so I just lay there, I felt a tear fall down my cheek, I turned over to my side and soon I was calming down.
I heard knocks at my door but I didn't do anything. I heard the door open but they didn't come to me, I wasn't facing them but I knew they were staring. I lay there and stared out the window at the rain.
"Mack? Are you okay?" It was Zac. I nodded. "Yea, I'm fine." I heard footsteps and I saw Mr. Johnson in front of me. He touched my head and stroked my hair. "Did you get another one?" I nodded. He knew about it, it was in the papers and each teacher who taught me knew about my panic attacks. Luckily they weren't horrible ones, others got worse, but they were still panic attacks.
He stood up straighter. "Your brother hurt you?" I took a second to think. "Kinda, he pushed me hard into the bed, and deeply, I didn't think he'd dare but he did." He stared and blinked twice. "Wow."
Zac checked the time and he looked out a window. "Come on dad, we should probably go." He nodded. "Bye Mack," Mr. Johnson left and so did Zac, but not before giving me a slight wink. "Would you like me to off the lights?" I turned to him. "Yes please." He did so and closed my door. I got into bed and fell asleep.
