"You're the reason why we have no money, you eat so much!" The empty beer glass gets thrown at his head but missed, hitting the wall behind him.

"P-please... S-stop." The small boy quivers in fear at the drunkard he no longer recognized.

"Did you just talk back?" The man lounges towards the child, grabbing his collar. "You don't deserve everything I've done for you. Ungrateful bastard!" His hand comes down quick, unexpected. The boy takes the beating, knowing that if he fights back, more will come. "Go to your room!"

"Y-yes dad."

"Don't call me that!"

"Sorry d-sir." The boy hangs his head low, praying the man doesn't change his mind.

Before the boy closes the door to his room, he hears the words that will forever be remembered. "Should've never fucked that pathetic bitch."
