'THERE FOR YOU' IS A BOP BECAUSE OF JUNGKOOK'S DATE VIDEO AND THAT'S JUST FACTS

Becoming Jungkook's friend was a mistake. Jimin got too involved and there is no return without hurting at least one of their feelings. True, he did like being around him, liked how he made him feel about himself, liked... him. One of the reasons why it's so hard for Jimin to accept that is because he knows Jungkook doesn't like him back. Even if the younger did like guys, who would like him? "Jungkook isn't here for lunch today... an extra book report was assigned to him." Jimin did care about his grades too, he just didn't waste his time with extra credit projects. If he did, he would be with someone else right now...

"That's okay, you can hang with the OG." Hoseok was too excited of late and the blond didn't want to start him off on all of his reasons.

Taehyung however, seemed to trace his every hand movement, every lick to his lips and Jimin felt like he was under the microscope. He could feel Taehyung's stares, he wasn't dumb.

Jimin had just finished his meal, grudgingly eating the very last rice grain. It wasn't the same. It's not Jungkook's food, it's not fulfilling. But at least he got to finish it before Taehyung grabed his wrist and pulled him out of his seat. "Taehyung what the fuck-" Jimin let himself get dragged around like a little girl's doll because he trusted Taehyung. They were friends, he wouldn't do anything bad to him right?

Taehyung's trip was cut short when he pulled them into a dimly lit classroom, the sun outside was the only light source filtering through the blinds. Even in the impossible lighting, Jimin could tell Taehyung was nervous. If it wasn't the lip bitting that gave it away, it was the uneasy shuffling and the fingers playing with frayed t-shirt ends.

"Did something happen-"

Taehyung pulls him into his embrace, squeezing Jimin as if he would never let go. His breath brushed against the blond hair, now erratic from the close proximity. It was now or never for the red head, he couldn't stop now. "I like you Park Jimin."

He supposes he should feel something, a spark or a warmth that he has only really felt with one person. However that one person has shown no interest- no romantic interest- in him. "Taehyung..." Should he reject him and lose a friend? There's no way they could come out of this classroom the same way they came in.

"Please... don't say anything. Let me have this." They held each other tight, now having more in common than the other realized. The red head took one last chance, pulling away to stare into the shorter's eyes. He would never be this close again, he knew that. He would never again see his breath slightly trickle the blond strands covering his eyebrows. He wanted to cry in front of Jimin. The pain almost too much to bear. Instead he leaned in, sealing his fate with a kiss.

The soft, plush lips were surprised at first but gentle. Something Taehyung had been wanting to feel for some time now and all he can think of is that this is only happening out of pity. Like Jimin, he hated it to his very core especially when that feeling was hidden behind the quick glances of everyone he had ever met. He was never more than the mute kid and he enjoyed the fact that Jimin saw past that.

Even if their mouths were still connected, Taehyung did cry. His salty tears mixed in between their joined lips and he pressed further, not wanting it to end. His hands slipped through the fluff of Jimin's hair, applying force to make them closer if that were possible. The blond reacted almost instantly, his hands gripping the sides of Taehyung's shirt. Jimin opened his mouth for better access, tilting forward.

So what if Jungkook didn't like him? He found someone who did, someone who thought of him as his world and that's enough to make his heart beat. They continued in the quiet room, coming out when lunch was over. Taehyung didn't say anything, not that that was unusual but Jimin could tell the younger had questions. He didn't answer any, instead planting a kiss on his cheek.

Boy was Taehyung happy.

Hoseok knew something was off the moment he saw the red head later that day. The younger couldn't stop smiling. Don't misunderstand, Hoseok loved when Taehyung smiled. It made him feel like the sun was constantly shining, or that birds were always singing. But this grin that the red head can't seem to wipe off, it made him sick to his stomach. He knows something happened, he just knows it.

"Hoseok." Even Taehyung's voice elevated his mood.

"Y-Yes?" Nope. He didn't like this at all. Not the way that he was bursting sunshine at the seams or the way he was squirming in his seat from excitement.

"Jimin... ahh~" His friend was practically levitating, his hand patting his chest to shake him out of his dream. "I think we're dating."

Dating? "Taehyung what the fuck." The dancer knew his friend had feelings for Jimin, but he thought they would go away. He thought that if he gave Taehyung enough time... "What do you mean 'you think'?"

The red head giggled, moving his blanket on top of him. Taehyung looked so squishy when he hid under the covers, only his eyes sticking out. Almost as if the red head knew what he was doing to the dancer, he abruptly threw the covers to the ground. "We... we kissed."

Both teenagers were beet red, for different reasons. Hoseok hated this more than Taehyung would ever know. He knew Jimin didn't feel that way about their friend, it was inevitable that this would end badly. He also couldn't handle the fact that Taehyung was happy because of Jimin. Why did Jimin have to have everything? It made no sense to Hoseok. But of course he couldn't let down his friend, the one he needed to vent out with and celebrate with. Hoseok put on his brave face, ignoring Tae's blissful smile. "I-I'm so happy for you Taehyung... You deserve to be happy."

"Thank you Hobi, I really am."

This isn't supposed to be a long story btw...
