Superman- Five For FightingHarry's POV
I observed Georgia as she hopelessly tried to negotiate with her father about this whole situation. I cant even begin to explain how happy I was when I saw her small body turn towards me. My arms developed a mind of their own and I pulled Georgia into them without any intention of letting her go.
"Dad, I'm sorry. I-I love you." I saw her reach her arms out, just hoping to repatch hers and her fathers fallen relationship that only seems to drag deeper after each day. His eyes were filled with disappointment mixed with fury, fixated on her hand inching closer to him. I was almost frightened of what expression he held, but I pushed it to the back of my mind.
"I love you, Da-" Pinpoints were sent into my chest when I saw the strong arms of her father reach out and smack her down. The shriek that filled my ears and echoed around the room will forever be engraved into my memory. That heart breaking scream of pain that escaped from Georgia's mouth happened only seconds ago, but it has already played over and over in my mind. The sound of her small body hitting the hardwood brought me out of my daze, my first instinct was to save her.
"Georgia!" I screamed, hoping she didn't get hurt. My legs dashed over to the shocked girl that just couldn't wrap her head around what happened only a couple seconds before.
"Are you okay, Georgia? Please tell me you're okay!" I cried over her kneeling body. The tears welled in her eyes and I was so frightened he hit her too hard for her body to manage. Starvation makes a person so weak that even the smallest things could hurt more than anyone could ever begin to imagine.
"Can we just go, please. I can't be here...with him." She begged and the vulnerability in her voice literally tore me apart. It felt like I was a helpless piece of paper being ripped into pieces. I brought Georgia to her feet and observed her eyes that filled with hurt and remorse, the innocence shadowed over her. All she wanted was to shape the relationship her and her father had before, but he wouldn't let that happen. The pure hatred I hold for this man is past its limits, but I have to control myself.
"I hope you're happy." I looked up at the man who has injured Georgia. My words filled with venom just ready to be injected permanently into his system. My eyes shot him a look full of disgust and disownment and he looked at me, terrified. His facial expression was filled with shock and I know for a fact he had just realized what he'd accomplished, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. He hit not only a girl, but his own daughter and I truly hope he is ashamed of himself.
"You are never to hit a girl! You are sick!" I heard Louis' voice boom through the room, making the corners of my mouth turn up in a wicked grin. Not only am I happy that we are making this man pay for what he's done, but I'm also happy that Louis is finally on our side. I don't know what that letter said, but it must've been powerful.
Tears fell from her fathers eyes and I could see the pain in Georgia's just to see her father like this. I know she wanted to go apologize to him, because she is that kind of person. She falls into the trap of others so easily that no matter how hard they've pushed her down, literally in this case, she is blocked by the guilt they feel afterwards which makes her feel like its all her fault. I hug her closely by the waist, reassuring her that leaving would be the right thing to do.
Although, Georgia paused her movements. I looked over and saw her father had a hold of her wrist. I clenched my fist because I can just sense the shots of pain traveling through her body at this very moment. It makes me wince as though I can feel it myself.
"Georgia." His voice didn't come above a whisper as he tried to guilt her once again.
"I didn't mean to...you know that, right sweetie?" He begged her and I almost laughed at his failed attempt. He did put on a great act though, I was frightened Georgia might fall into it again.
