I'm willing to wait forever to find the perfect one.

KDrama's have taught me that love is beautiful and cliche,

But is it really what I want?

Walking through the cold rainy streets of Daegu, I managed to zone out from the loud screeches of car honks.

"Haera aren't you supposed to be in school?"

Turning around, I faced the direction from where the voice scolded.

"I left school early because I was not feeling well." I bowed to the ajusshi that ran the small mart that I always walked by going to school.

"Well, would you like some treats? I know that your brother is very ill, I think he would like something." He cheered as he walked over to his section of the mart filled with treats.

"Thank you, but I'm afraid that I can't pay for them right now. I didn't bring my wallet." Flustered, I looked at the floor beneath me.

"Who said that they were going to cost money? I'm giving you them for free."

Looking up, I beamed happily as I thanked him many times for the small pouch of gifts he gave me.

Walking out of the mart, I continued going on the same path I intended to stay on.

As I neared the intersection of streets, I waited patiently for the red light to turn green so I could continue walking.

Truthfully, I'm too scared to walk across the street even when it's a red light.

Even if there are no cars driving by, I'm still afraid.

Finally, it turned green. I started to walk across the street to the street that I lived on.

Nearing the small street food vendor placed in front of my apartment, I saw a shadow behind me.

Huh?

Turning around, I saw no one behind me.

I must be imagining things.

"Oh Haera! Aren't you cold wearing that small jacket?" The ajumma who ran the street food cart exclaimed.

"No, I'm alright Miss Yoo!" I chuckled while walking to the entrance of my apartment.

Opening up the doors, I walked in to find my twin sister, Haneul sitting on one of the couches.

"Were you waiting for me?" I asked as she looked up at me.

"Jaeyong's fever keeps rising." She spoke in a monotoned voice.

It was typical now for our younger brother Jaeyong, to have high fevers.

Sighing, I stared at the ground near Haneul's shoes thinking of what to do.

"He was just let out of the hospital, I don't know."

"The doctors said that this could happen to him." Haneul nodded her head.

"Just give him more medicine. Ajusshi Park gave me a free bag of treats to give to him." I lifted up the pouch that was in my hand.

Haneul nodded before walking back towards the elevator.

"You left school early?" She asked as the elevator doors opened.

"I'm not feeling well." I spoke, not looking at her.

Haneul sighed before pressing the number eight, the floor we live on.

"Jaeyong is infecting you Hae, please be careful." She warned.

"I'm alright, I just have a cold." I cleared my throat.

I never liked it when she would scold me.

It would be just like talking to our real mom,

If she was still alive.
