Still Percy's P.O.V.

Wednesday and I were still running around and laughing like idiots when I heard the sound of approaching hooves. I looked up and saw Chiron, the camp director.

"Uh-oh" Wednesday whispered from behind me.

''Hello Percy.'' said Chiron. "And who is this?'' he asked me.

"Um, sir, this is Wednesday Evans. She's new here.''

''Ahhh, I see. Have you taken her to the Big House to get introduced?'' he said.

"No, sir. She was in the infirmary.'' I turned around and saw Wednesday on the ground putting on the boot for her ankle. She tightened the last strap and stood up.

I just kind of looked at her for a moment and nobody said anything.

''Well, are we going somewhere or not?'' she said with an annoyed expression. I don't know why, but I just had to laugh.

''What? I thought we were going somewhere.'' she told me.

''Indeed we are. Follow me. Percy, you can go and eat if you like.'' said Chiron as he started to walk away. I was hungry, but I felt like it would be better for everyone if I stayed with her. Just so she didn't say the wrong thing and get herself turned into a bunch of grapes or something.

So I followed Chiron to the Big House, walking beside Wednesday. I looked over at her and kind of nudged her in the arm with my elbow. She looked back over at me and stuck her tongue out. I laughed and nudged her harder. She walked closer to me and stepped on my foot. I pushed her so that she stumbled and moved away, then I stuck my tongue out at her. She didn't pay attention to me for a while, so I let my gaurd down. Until she ran and bodyslammed me so hardI fell on my butt and rolled off the trail and into some dead tree branches.

"CRAP!" I yelled. Chiron stopped and turned around and Wednesday burst out laughing. I just glared at her through the bunch of leaves hanging down in front of my face. I got up and brushed myself off while at the same time glaring at Wednesday, who was still shaking with silentlaughter.

"You- you have leaves in your hair!'' she said picking dried leaves from my hair.

''Ahem.'' said Chiron. I was so busy trying to be angry at Wednesday I had almost frgotten he was there.

''Oh yeah. Sorry.''

*About 15 Minutes Later*

"Wow, I can't believe that guy is really the god of wine. And he has to stay here and supervise stuff. That totally sucks!'' Wednesday said. Chiron had introduced her to Dionysus, who, as usual, had complianed nonstop about how he had to stay on Earth at Camp Half-Blood and watch all the bratty kids.

I was about to say that he kind of deserved it, when Chiron came galloping up from behind us.

"Actually, Wednesday, there has been one slight inconvenience. The Hermes cabin is full, and unless you get claimed before cerfew, you will have nowhere to sleep."

"Umm, then what will I do if I don't get claimed?'' asken Wednesday.

"Well-"

"She can sleep in my cabin." I blurted out.

Chiron looked at me and Wednesday standing next to each otherand raised hiseyebrows.

"Well technically, the rules are that no two campers are allowed to be alone in a cabin, but.... I can trust you Percy.''

"Cool!'' Wednesday and I said at the same time.

"Oh my, it's after dinner already? Tonight we play Capture The Flag!" said Chiron. "Percy, you can go hep Wednesday choose a sword and armor." and he galloped off.

*Ten Minutes Later*

"Alright, now to choose names for team captains!" said Chiron as he phoved his hand into a helmet full of slips of paper.

"And for the red team the captain will be: Percy Jackson from the Posideon cabin!"

My team cheered and then turned silent as he plunged his hand into the helmet again and started rummaging around.

"And the captain for the blue team is: Wednesday Evans, undetermined!''

I could hear players on my team mumbling and asking each other if they knew who she was. I looked around and saw Wednesday and Kathryn talking. Kathryn nodded, and Wednesday looked over, saw me, and gave me a look that clearly said, 'it's on.'

The whistle blew, and the game began.

Wednesday's P.O.V.

I could not believe that my name was drawn to be captain! I asked Kathryn if she could give me some help, and thankfully, she said yes. She would come up with the battle plan, and I would hide and gaurd the flag. It was brilliant, and our plan simply coudn't fail.

Percy's P.O.V.

As we took off into the woods, I saw Grover come and walk up beside me.

"What do you think her plan is?'' he said.

"Are you kidding? It's Wednesday. She dosen't make plans, she lives in the moment." I told him. It was true.

"I guess-"

"Shhhhh!!!! I see their flag!" I said. I couldn't believe that we actually found it this fast. When Wednesday wants something to be hidden, virtually no one can find it.

"Grover? Where'd you go? Grover?'' I said, looking around.

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder and the sharp point ofa celestial gold blade in my neck. Great.

"Well well well, what do we have here?"

"Oh come on Wednesday, let me go."

"Hmm, I don't think I will."

"Please?"

"Nope."

Then I heard a whistle blow in the distance. The game was over! We lost!

"HA!" Wednesday said to me as she released me.

"Good game." I said.

"Yeah. I learned from the best!" she told me.

"Awww, that's nice, but I'm sure there's someone out there better at this game than me."

"What are you talking about?" she said with a confused expression. "I meant Kathryn!"
