*Wednesday's P.O.V.*

Chiron cleared his throat and spoke.

"Campers; I am sure you are aware of the ever-menacing threat of Luke and his army. He has already captured a camper and is currently holding one hostage. In the ransom he left for he first camper, he told them to bring him the plans, as in the plans for underground tunnels to Camp Half-Blood. We don't know how he knows of these plans, but we have a spy on the ship investigating."

"Who's the spy?" somebody asked.

"Kathryn Bell, of the Hephaestus cabin." Chiron replied.

"That's my sister!" piped up Beckendorf.

Chiron ignored him.

"Campers, you are dismissed. Make sure you keep these meetings a secret." he finished, and we left.

Percy told me I should train sword fighting, and said he would help me.

"So, I thought we should start with you maybe attacking this armored dummy, then just go from there.

I nodded, and proceeded to beat the crap out of that dummy. I hacked, stabbed, slashed, and after about twenty minutes it was missing both arms, a leg, and the top half of its head. Percy stopped me and gave me some armor to put on.

"Okay, now we're going to work on strategy."

I strapped on the armor, turned around, and was immediately smacked by the flat of the blade on Percy's sword.

"Hey!" I yelled at him. "I wasn't ready!"

He laughed and smiled at me.

"That's the point!"

I grinned mischievously and circled him, my grip tight on my sword. Then I attacked.

Percy fought back with a kind of easygoing patience, like he knew I couldn't beat him. Like he was considering letting me win. I hated when people did that to me... What was the point of winning if you didn't earn it?

So I fought harder. My sword blade was flashes of celestial steel, and through the storm of clashing blades I saw Percy frowning slightly to keep up with me. As I took a wild swing at him, he ducked under my arm and I spun around to keep sight of him. He brought his sword up over my head and brought it down. I blocked it with the flat of my blade, pressing my palm on it and pushing it away. We fought for way longer than we meant to, but I didn't mind. I needed the practice.

*Percy's P.O.V.*

Wednesday and I fought for hours, skipping lunch even. I didn't mind though, it was fun. She was getting better, because I had to progressively work harder to keep up with her.

After it started to get dark, I decided we should stop and take a break for dinner. It was like 7:00 and the sun had slipped behind the big hill in the distance.

We sat for a moment in the seats lining the arena, not talking or anything. Just sitting quietly.

We looked out at the seats all the way across the arena, and spotted for the first time that night a big tarp that covered a burn mark where one of the Hephaestus kids had tried out a sword made to shoot fire. Grover had told me about it a while back and I laughed, remembering.

Wednesday started to laugh because I was laughing.

And then there was her silhouette. Her pink lips slightly spread apart revealing just a little of her dazzling white teeth, her large hazel eyes open wide in laughter. Her hair and outfit were simple, and she had no makeup on. She didn't need it. I loved little moments like this, when we just forgot the world and her natural beauty shone through. I took a mental snapshot of her, this side of her I rarely got to see.
