Blake sat impatiently waiting for the clock on the far side of the math classroom to ring, and when it finally did she swung herself out of her seat, yelling, "YES," and running straight for the door. Maybe she could catch up to that guy and yell at him for a few minutes about being rude. That is, if she was fast enough. Blake could hear her teacher calling for her to come back, but that only made her pace quicken. She was halfway across the school's yard when she stopped to catch her breath.

She looked around, confused. Where could he... but... Blake suddenly remembered her note which was neatly folded but messily made. She reached into her pocket, pulling out the soft paper. Her hands still trembled from her sprint, and she shakily unfolded it. Blake peered down at the long, well-written note, instantly knowing it was not her father who had written it.

What she read was shocking:

Dear Ms. Blake Julie Cross,

I hope your classes are going well. As you might have already known, something is strange about this school. Have you ever seen people walking around in white-colored uniforms? Well, you also know they are the Night Class. But what you probably don't in fact know it that they are extremely different from you.

You might have read about creatures and other beings in your fictional books...but did you ever come across a passage about a being called a vampire? Most of the things authors write about them are not true, but vampires are very real, Ms. Blake. VERY real.

They are strikingly beautiful and they do have long, sharp fangs. Some drink blood of humans. Some prefer animals. Some even have pills that act as "blood" when mixed with water. The vampires are extremely tired during the day, but very active at night. They are strong, fast, and enhanced, and some high-class vampires have other powers including the following listed.

There are the Purebloods: the highest class of all. They are royalty, and are extremely rare, but, Ms. Cross, very powerful indeed. Their blood is in fact pure.

The next rank is that of nobility. They are called the Nobles. Mostly rich, mostly pure-blooded, and also powerful. They usually protect Purebloods, or other vampires from... well... Level D's.

Of course there are common, everyday vampires. Most have regular powers.

Then..there are the Level D's. They are ex-humans. You see, a Pureblood is able to turn a human into a vampire, but the new vampire needs their blood to regain their sanity after being turned. Without this, the ex-human spirals into chaos and craziness, killing humans and destroying land.

You might have guessed this already:

the night class students are all...vampires.
