Four days later, Blake was sitting in her math class, her eyes dulled over. She yawns, forcing herself to stay awake. Now a days, she was so tired, and headaches frequently came to her. She hated sleep because whenever it came, a nightmare followed. She hadn't seen a vampire since when she'd crashed at that awful celebration. Blake shuddered.
She still remembered the pain surging through her neck. She could still feel the world spinning as her own blood spattered the floor, and she could still see Lee's smirk as he laughed cruelly into the night, his fangs ripping her skin.
Lee was sitting in a chair that faced the night-class window, a hushed silence falling over the dorms as the monsters within the building were fast asleep. He stared at the window, his perfect face showing little to no emotion, but his eyes showing pain, sadness, and angered tiredness. He turned his head slightly.
"Croy, why aren't you sleeping?" He asked, his voice a bit above a whisper.
"I could ask you the same thing, Boss," a vampire with hazel-brown hair and faded, ashy eyes spoke from behind him, his head cocked in a curious way. He was confused. So confused. Lee didn't need to waste his energy on staying up during the day. What could possibly make his leader act this way? Could it be the girl...that girl that had changed him?
Lee let out a dry, tired laugh. "Ah. Good point, but this does not concern you. You may leave."
Croy started to turn and go, but he forced himself to stay. "It's that Blake girl, isn't it?"
"I told you to leave," Lee said, visibly annoyed.
"Sir, it is my business. You're our leader. It's all our business." Croy shook, gulping. He was so loyal. That loyalty pushed him to stay even if that meant disobeying Lee's orders every once and a while. He could tell something was bothering him, and he wanted to help. Badly.
Silence.
"Please..." Croy whispered, his hands now clenching to fists.
"Croy, what am I to do with you?" Lee asked, a small smile on his face. "Come here."
The aristocrat was instantly at his side, kneeling down so they were face-to-face.
"Yes. Blake is...special to me. My emotions spiral when she is with me," Lee says, starting to shake again. His eyes hardened. "It takes everything to resist...it isn't her time yet." His eyes watered. "I can't yet. She isn't willing."
The wide-eyed Croy stared at him. "I think I understand...
"You're in love."
