Blake was flustered when Lee pulled her to the furniture. Blake sat up straight, her eyes wide. She glances at Lee curiously, trying to search for the emotion she had sensed before. Lee whirled his head around, glaring at her. Blake blinked, then turned her face away, embarrassed. Why was he so angry? Just a minute ago he'd looked fine... her throat went dry. What had she done to him to deserve this? Lee then smirked cruelly, laughing into the crisp night.
"You're so naive, Blake..so infantile...I hate it. I am calm...and then you come along, and I'm crazed," Lee spat, his eyes burning like flames. She grabbed her shoulders, pulling her closer.
Blake pushed away, standing up and backing away. Many aristocrats gasped, and some growled uneasily. There she was again. Disrespecting their leader. But she couldn't help it... she wasn't ready. She was scared. Just like he had said: an infant. Three aristocrats moved her direction, but Lee shook his head. "No. Let her be. She's not used to this." The aristocrat group frowned, backing away and returning to the rest of the group.
Blake peeked at Leesa, who was staring straight at her with clear anger. Blake looked down at her feet. What was she doing here? Why had she thought for one second she'd be able to ask questions and then leave, unharmed?
Anya was looking at her, concerned. She gave a reassuring smile, nodding her approval. You have this, Blake. Come on, her expression seemed to tell Blake. You're fine. He's not going to hurt you. There's a reason for this.
Blake sat back down, muttering an apologetic, "Sorry..." She scooted to the far side of the couch, wanting as much space as possible, but a tiny part of her called her to sit closer. She shook her head as if to get the thoughts out of her mind.
"Continue on with the celebration," Lee ordered plainly, sitting back. The vampires looked at him, and before long they were all talking and drinking...what were they drinking?! It didn't look quite as thick as blood, but it wasn't water or punch either. It was red though, and the vampires were hungrily drinking from it like they'd hadn't drank for days. Lee seemed to read her thoughts, and he adds, "They're taking supplements. So they won't drain you." Blake stiffens. She hadn't thought of that..being here was causing them all pain.
"Don't worry. I'd never let that happen to you," he says, dead serious. "They don't deserve to have their teeth to your neck, their filthy face next to your blood." He sounded angry again, but his face looked so calm..so smooth. "If but one touches you, they will pay." Blake feels almost comforted by this.
"Y-You don't have to say that.." Blake whispers. "I'm fine. Really. I'm not that important."
That familiar, chilling smirk was back again, plastered to Lee's perfect face. Suddenly, he bent over, holding his stomach. "..So...so..." He took her by the wrist, dipping her to his lap. He bit into her neck. Blake's eyes widened. What was happening?! She glanced at the floor. Blood.
Then, that same old pain came around. So much pain...
A moment later, she faded into unconsciousness.
