taehyung focus | FIRST PERSON
jungkook had persisted on dragging me to a little stall that sold hot chocolate outside campus. the shop that was apparently incredibly popular with the rest of the student body, who lined up to get warm cups of cocoa in red takeaway cups everyday.the walk down campus and out of college was quiet, save for the sound of jungkook's quiet hums and the low rustle of the trees. i held on to his hand throughout the whole walk, my gloved hand slipped into his freezing palm.
i don't know how im supposed to feel.
jungkook's making me feel all sorts without even knowing - the simplest action or word he says, makes me blush like crazy and makes my stomach turn.
i don't want to feel these things, not with jungkook anyway.
i don't know if he truly wants to date me - i don't how long we'll last if we do date. i don't know if his feelings are genuine; i mean would you know if a guy really wants you or is just joking when he proposes a date by tying up your damn laces and saying a cheesy pick up line??
i sigh quietly into my oversized scarf and peer at jungkook through the corner of my eyes. he stands, his shoulders back and relaxed as he holds my hand like its nothing and walks me to the fast approaching stall.
i envy him: despite switching roles and being the one trying to date me now, im still the one who gets flustered and glows red. he just announces cringey pick up lines and smiles that famous bunny smile, expecting me to fall and date him.honestly, 3/4's of me wants to date him. that 3/4's is my high school kim taehyung - who'd sat in his room, depressed when jungkook had rejected him. however, now, a strong quarter of me wants to say no - to reduce the possibility of heartache and not think of jungkook all the fucking time and think how nice it would be to date him.
"ah here we are," jungkook says, licking his slightly chapped lips.
i look up to see we're in a fairly small queue leading up to a cute red stall, an animated picture of a steaming mug of hot chocolate is displayed on the sides of the tiny box shaped shop."cute," i mumble, smiling behind my scarf whilst eyeing the elderly couple who sold the hot chocolate with happy smiles on their aged faces.
"but not as cute as you." jungkook immediately says, grinning.
i roll my eyes at him, already used to his random comments.jungkook coughs a little and i look at him warily. the idiot only wore a thin jacket and didn't even zip his stupid jacket up properly as well.
"you should've worn something warm." i mutter, handing him my scarf. "now you're gonna get ill.""yeah yeah." jungkook grunts, shaking his head at my scarf and zips up his jacket up. "im not gonna get ill, don't worry."
"who says im worrying?" i huff.
a couple of girls laugh loudly to the right of me, edging closer to where we're standing. ignoring what jungkook says next, i watch them as they completely and discreetly sidle into the line, cutting the line directly in front of us.jungkook notices this and clears his throat before tapping on one of the girl's shoulders.
"hey mi rae right? sorry about this but we were here first." jungkook smiles. the girl bats her eyelashes, "but jungkookie, it's cold." she whines.
i don't care, fucking move.
"but so are we," jungkook continues to chide the girls. i let out a deep breath and ignore jungkook's attempts to get the lazy ass girls to move.
