*Molly's POV*

After dinner, I had no desire to hang around to converse. It was awkward enough to have everyone gawk at Thorin and me. This is all beginning to get too complicated. What I need is to help in any way I can and then return home. This isn't my world and I can't stay. Not for anything or anyone. I find myself outside wandering the beautiful gardens and towers of Rivendell. Out in one of the gardens I sit on a bench looking at the folded up flowers. The nights are getting colder but the flowers should have been in bloom.

"May I join you?"

I turn to see Lord Elrond. I smile and scoot over as he sits next to me.

"They only come out when they are ready to. At night when the moon is full, the flowers glow a bright blue or pink color. Then when it finally blooms the pixie comes out and flies into the night to head south to the peaceful lands and forest."

I scoff "Pixie's? There's no such thing as Pixie's."

Elrond smiles "Are you so sure?"

I narrow my eyes and look at the flowers.

"Gandalf told me about you."

I turn back to him "What did he say?"

Elrond looks straight ahead "You are from another world and yet somehow fate brought you to this one, and that your journey has just begun."

I didn't know what that meant, but I knew that it was either good or bad. His eyes then widened and a smile crept onto his face "I have something for you."

"What is it?" I ask as he fishes something out of his pocket. Taking my hand in his he places an object in my palm. In my hands now lay a necklace with diamond carvings mashed together in perfect shine. I gasp looking at it and the King nods "Every 300 years or so a single star will fall to earth to bestow a gift to whoever needs it. Lady Galadriel saw you're coming to Mid-Earth. She is the one who asked me to give this to you. It possesses great power."

I put it around my neck and smile "Is that even...possible?"

He nods "Nothing is impossible."

I admire the necklace closely "So, it's magic? Like can it grant wishes?"

Elrond laughs a little "It can be used once for whenever you are in need. May it bring you luck."

I smirk "Yeah, I'm going to need a good bit of that. Thank you."

The King smiles but it fades "Another thing, my lady."

I turn my attention back to Elrond and he looks serious. "Magic like this can be dangerous. While it can be used for good it can also wield evil. Be careful with what you ask of it. Magic can come at a price."

Looking down at the shimmering jewels it looks like a normal necklace to me, but I take his words to heart.

"Join me?" he asks lightening the mood.

I nod and stand walking along next to him and into the palace as night falls and where we were met by an annoyed wizard and an angry dwarf.

"Our business is no concern of elves." Thorin snaps.

Gandalf glares at him "For goodness sake, Thorin, show him the map!"

Thorin grips onto it as if hiding it "It is the legacy of my people; it is mine to protect, as are its secrets."

Gandalf rolls his eyes "Save me from the stubbornness of Dwarves! Your pride will be your downfall. You stand here in the presence of one of the few in Middle-earth who can read that map. Show it to Lord Elrond!"
