PUT THE BABY DOWN

Since Tressa had found out about all the years with the turtles ‘robbed’ from her by her sister, she decided to stay on for a while. She constantly lectured Kylee on stealing Raph and Kylee would bicker back-Raph was enjoying every minute of it, being a jerk about it as usual. Tressa dared to take on Leo and everyone burst laughing when she, and untrained person, got her butt handed to her. Leo of course always was a good sport about it though and wouldn’t brag like Mikey, Becca, or Raph.

She often spent time with her nieces, because the parents would dump them with her for a date night. She was shocked when she found that her sister would willingly get into a dress for Raphael, let alone anyone, or put make up on-without a fight- even if it was only a little. Tressa was jealous when she’d see Kylee’s arm tucked into Raphael’s, and Kylee would always remind her to quit drooling, and that she already had a husband.

The one thing she didn’t enjoy was diaper duty. She’d had enough of it with the twins, now she had it with her young nieces too. At least Lena didn’t wear diapers… she considered herself lucky for that. Tressa was shocked at how smart her sister became. Tressa had never paid much attention to Kylee, especially after she moved out for Julliard. She hadn’t known her sister took computer and hologram classes, or that she was finally semi good with tools, or that she helped Donny get his doctors degree in college, something she had coveted in getting before Kylee had decided to go to vet tech school. She soon found out that Kylee and Donny had created bands to help the guys get around humans without being noticed.

The one thing Tressa hadn’t noticed was all the crazy adventures the turtles were supposed to have. Kylee and Becca spent hours telling her detailed stories of the adventures they had had with the guys, from the first summer the spent with the turtles to the present moment. She didn’t quite believe the story of volcano sacrifice on an uncharted island-but then she saw the scar on Raph’s arm. Later the two older sisters said it had been pleasantly calm the last year or two- which was easier for them now that they were parents of very young ones.

The turtles seemed to bring Kylee out of the wall she had continued to seal herself in when the sisters were younger. For once, her sister’s only friends weren’t older people, for once she had friends who were around her age. Kylee was open, she wasn't thinking and re thinking about her every action, she wasn't holding herself back, she was no longer afraid of herself.

Kylee had taken all their mothers old recipes and used them as her own to feed her family, brother-in-laws included.  Tressa was still a bit picky, so Kylee would make food she liked too. Tressa was surprised on the life her sisters had made for themselves;

Kylee, stubborn, hot headed Kylee, who had at one point in her life refused to marry at all, found Raph who she could be equal to. She didn’t have to lower herself to a husband’s standards, or obey his rules. Raph and her were quite a team, seeing eye to eye and not having many rules or judgments.

Becca, Stubborn, flirty Becca, who for a long while in her life was a major Juliet, found Mikey who she could match herself to. Mikey wasn’t really much of a leader type of a family, so Becca took the head and her husband just went with the flow of things, and carried out her whims on a whim.

They seemed so extremely happy with who they were now, with who they were with and to Tressa it kind of made sense that Kylee chose this life. She’d never been what a lot of people considered normal. She couldn’t fall in love with a real person no matter how hard she tried. She always fell for the guys in the movie or in books. And she was always working on her own books and always talked about them-scaring guys off even further. Made sense that she fell for a turtle, though Tressa always thought Kylee would have fallen for Leo and had a crush on him. When she said this, Leo and Kylee looked at each other, shrank away, and slightly blushed. Raph dragged Kylee closer to him and everyone else in the room laughed, even Donny.
