Raph groaned. He felt so stiff, it almost hurt to move. A pair of gentle hands helped him up and he rubbed his eyes. Kylee was looking him up and down as he groaned more. “You okay Raph?” She breathed, backing up and giving him space. “We dead, ain’t we?” He asked trying to stretch and still feeling horribly stiff, Kylee laughed. “No we’re not dead, I don’t know where we are, but we’re not dead.”
“Funny, I feel dead.”
“So did I when I woke up, and you looked dead. I think those warriors brought us to their tribe er somthun, if ya look around we’re in a hut.”
“Great, so we gotta escape?”
“Duh. But I stuck my head out, and if you can’t see the little scab on my nose, I was greeted in the face with actual stone spears. I don’t think they plan to let us escape any time soon.”
“Damn.”
“Yup… can ya move okay?”
“no, I can’t feel my legs or back.”
“Well, start rubbing them, that should get some blood flow.”
“What will that do!?”
“I’m the nurse here. I know what I’m talking about, start-rubbing.”
Raph obeyed, seeing as she knew almost more about medical stuff then Donny did. After a while he did start feeling something, but he didn’t know if that was the rubbing working or the dart warring off. A young girl walked in smiling and holding a bowl of fruit (mostly bananas and coconuts) and she sat down looking at them with dreamy eyes. Raph and Kylee looked at each other, then at the girl, then back at each other. This was awkward… did she expect them to juggle or something?
“Are you two going to eat or just look at each other?”
Raph and Kylee were… well how do you put it when you didn’t expect the girl who was giving them food to speak fluent English…surprised? Any way whatever the word is that’s what they were. “Alright then you stare at me then. I’m honored your graces.”
“your-”
“graces?”
“Yes, of course, you sound surprised, why?”
“We’re not-”
“Really used to being called that, actually.”
“In fact we’ve never been called that.”
The girl looked confused, tilting her head in that irresistible little girl way. “That’s strange. Yours is the story we hear most around fires, it is practically the life blood of our people. Our warriors train to become like you-” She said pointing to Raph, “And our women work to become faithful and honest just as you-” she said to Kylee, “this is most troubling.”
Kylee and Raph looked confused, no that’s not the proper word, they looked brain dead. “Wha-what are you talking about kid? We’ve never been here, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!” Kylee was flipping out and Raph had to hold her to the ground.
“Why, aren’t you them?”
“kid, we have no idea what yer talking about.”
The girl sighed and smiled blinking her eyes romantically, “They always said you were the modest one.”
“Him? Modest? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, A-HA, A-HA, A-HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”
“Whats that suppose ta mean? I can be modest.”
“In another life maybe!” Kylee continued to laugh and Raph growled balling up his fist and the girl looked terribly disoriented. She just sat there as the two teased and poked at each other until she stood up getting their attention. “Alright you’ve proved to me that you two really are them, I’m so glad. Come come, I want to show you something.” She walked out of the hut, followed by two very confused visitors. She led them it this little cave and lit a fire, lighting the walls up. They were covered with pictures that seemed to be one story.
