Kissing in the Furniture Store

━━━━━━━━━

"Wow." I breathed as Chase and I turned the corner. All around there were couches, lining every wall and placed strategically around the middle of the large room. Chase laughed and took my hand, leading me around the store.

"There's a lot of couches." Chase whispered. I laughed and turned to see a manager staring us down. I dropped Chase's hand and smiled up at the large woman.

"Is there anything that you are here for?" She bit out. I nodded and looked to Chase. He smiled politely and looked over to her with a sure face.

"Yeah, we're getting a couch for a new apartment. I think we've got it though. Thanks for the help." Chase said as professionally as he could. He placed my hand back in his before walking me out of the store. I looked back to see the manager standing dumbfounded in the center of the store. I laughed and looked back to my bestfriend.

"Where to now?" Chase asked as we got into the car. I shrugged as he started the car.

"Some other furniture place." I said sarcastically. He laughed and pulled off about a block down the road. We parked and walked inside the comfy establishment. Yep, exactly what I had expected: more couches.

"Do we need a table too?" I asked. Chase shook his head.

"Nah, we'll probably end up eating on the counter or on the floor." Chase said as he shrugged off the suggestion. He was right though. Come to think of it, we almost never ate like civilized people. I shook my head and followed him deeper into the store. As we reached the center of the store, we recognized a pair of familiar faces.

"Are they seriously here right now?" I groaned. Chase's eyes went wide as he let his eyes fall to where I had been staring. He drug me over behind a TV set up that was about ten feet tall. Perfect bidding place. He held my shoulders intently as he glanced from side to side.

"Chase, it's not that big of a-"

"Yes! It is Bree! They are going to make us get a table." Chase whispered with a smile on his face. I knew he wanted the situation to he more dramatic than it had to be. I rolled my eyes and patted him on the head before attempting to leave. Chase swiftly caught my forearm with his hand and jerked me back into his chest.

"No! I'm actually being serious. They will make us get furniture that we don't want." Chase whispered. I let my hands rest on his chest as I looked to the side to see our dad's turning around. I jumped back into Chase, hoping they didn't see me. Chase laughed and looked down at me. I smiled slightly as I noticed he was still staring at me.

"I'm really happy we're living together." Chase whispered as he began to lean in. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, me too." I whispered back. He smiled and leaned in closer, just barely and inch away. I sucked in a deep breath as Chase rested his lips just above mine. I moved my hands up to wrap around his neck as he pulled me closer to him. He smiled before closing the gap.

"Bree!" My dad called happily from behind me. I pulled away from Chase, hating every second I was away from him. Chase laughed nervously as our dad's came around the corner. Chase scratched his neck while Davenport and my dad walked over.

"Hey guys." They greeted. I laughed and looked to Chase.

"Hey." Chase bit out. He was still breathing quickly. I smiled to myself. Maybe this time we would actually be able to go out. Since the last time didn't exactly work out the way I had wanted it to.
