Pizza Nights and Telling Secrets
━━━━━━━━━
"So." Leo stated. I nodded awkwardly as I looked between Adam and Chase. Adam glared evilly Chase's way before he turned to me and flashed me a bright smile. Oh. My. God.
"I'm going to get another slice of pizza." Chase mumbled before he got up and carried his plate over to the counter. The second he left his chair, I leaned in towards Leo and Adam. I can not believe I didn't see it before.
"Did you two weirdos ever plan to remind me, that we've met before?" I hissed lowly at them. Leo frowned while Adam shrugged.
"Not really. We didn't really meet, per say." Adam replied before he sat back in his chair. Leo sat in deep thought as he racked his brain for the day we met. Why wouldn't he remember this day? Unless, that sort of thing happened to the kid every time he met some one.
"Leo?" I asked. He held up his finger as he continued to stare at the ceiling.
"Dude, you talked with her that day at the mall. She took-"
"She took my seat! Oh my god! Can we never talk about this again? Cause I would really appreciate it." Leo rambled as he rested his elbows on the table officially. I shook my head.
"But I so enjoyed our meeting." I said with a smirk. Leo's eyes went wide.
"What did you two talk about anyway?" Adam asked.
"Oh, we just-"
"No!" Leo ordered. He pointed threateningly towards me before he turned his attention to Adam.
"Dude. It's no big deal. I've probably heard worse." Adam replied as he patted Leo on the shoulder.
"Continue." Adam said with a smile.
"He told me I took his spot, so I said he could have it back. Then, he decided to tell me the history of 'his spot'. I told him I had to go and he stopped me, saying we had to introduce ourselves so we could part as unlikely friends." I explained. Leo sat back and held his hands to cover his face while Adam laughed.
"That's hilarious!" Adam cheered. Leo shook his head.
"I was in the eight grade!" Leo yelled back at me. I laughed.
"I was wrong, Leo. I haven't heard worse." Adam replied. I turned to see Chase walking over. Chase warily took his seat next to me.
"What's going on here?" Chase asked. I shrugged.
"Oh, nothing. I just feel that we're going to part as unlikely friends." Leo said, mocking my previous tone.
"I also feel this way, Leo. Bree?" Adam added.
"Totally. Do you guys want to come over for a movie night tomorrow?" I suggested. Chase sent me a worried glance.
"Yes! That sounds great."
"I can not believe you hated this!" Leo announced as he motioned between the four of us. I laughed and looked to Adam who was staring blankly at the floor.
"Can we not talk about the beginning of our friendship?" Adam pleaded. I sighed and nodded. I knew it had even hard for him. We had all gotten over the event of two years before, but just the memories still hurt him. I could tell.
