Millcity. Is there a worse place in this imsignificant world? Probably not, was thinking Abigail Morris. It was 5th period, on a normal boring school day and Abigail was, as usual, wandering through her mind and trying not to listen to whatever Mr.Clancy her health teacher was saying.

Suddenly Abigail finds herself inside a huge stadium, dressed up in her soccer uniform, chasing the ball and trying to score. And then she sees her, Hope Solo, the world's best and most famous goalkeeper. Her Birth mother. She's standing in the net, smiling fiercly and waving at her. Abigail starts running faster, trying to reach her but Hope runs away. Abigail eventually approaches her and starts questioning Hope

A:"Hope! Why did you leave me? I was just a kid and you had no right to abandon me. Hope answer, Hope why did you do that to me? Hope, Hope..."

H:"Listen.."

The bell rings and Abigail is brought back to reality. She sighs and walks out of the class. She finally approaches her locker and, frustrated, packs everything up. While walking out of school, she's stopped by a rall, dark-skinned girl who immediately hugs her.

A:"Hey Gracie girl, sup?"

Grace Paige is Abigail's best friend. Well, Abigail's only friend. She's one year older than her and they're friends since Kindergarten.

It is generally believed that opposites attract. That's what happened between Grace and Abigail. They're physically different (Abby is pale-skinned and short, Grace the opposite) but they form a perfect combination.

G:"Abby, everything is fine, what about you?"

A:"As usual. I can't stop myself from daydreaming about my Birth mother. I keep thinking about what my life would have looked like if she'd kept me with her. I mean, I'm grateful for having been adopted because I got the chance to meet the best friend anybody could ever ask for, but still, I really want to know her and question her about my past"

G:"I know Abby, and you're totally right. And...guess what?"

A:"What Grace?"

G:"I heard that the USWNT is playing in Portland in two weeks. And the team is now training at our local stadium! They're staying here until game day"

A:"And what's the point?"

G:"The point is that we're going to see them training"

A:"But.."

G:"There's no "but" Abigail. Do you want to know your biological mother or not?"

A:"Yes but..."

G:"Then we're going. END. OF. STORY"

And with these words they went separate ways. "I'm going to meet my Birth mother" thought Abby "and it's going to be a total disaster"

CHAPTER 2

It is 3.00 p.m. Abigail is walking back home, listening to her favorite singer, Kelly Clarkson.

*What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller, doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone. What soesn't kill you makes you a fighter*

Abby loves this song. It's the perfect portrait of her life. She faces many problems every single day but she never gives up. 20 minutes later, Abigail arrives home.
