CHAPTER 10

After saying goodbye to her birth mother, Abigail goes with Ali and Ashlyn, who are now in charge of taking care of her. She's grateful that she has the chance to stay with them but she misses Hope. They'd finally reconciled after spending 15 years away from each other and, in a blink of an eye, the situation has gone back to where it was.

Ali:" I'm sorry kid for everything that happened before. I know it's hard to be far from Hope but you're safe here with us."

Abigail:" I know and thanks Ali and Ash for taking care of me. For the first time in my life I feel like having a family, you know. My adoptive parents never told me they loved me and they never showed up at my games. I never got any cuddles, kisses or embraces from them. This is why I tend to be really cold and insecure, because I think that everybody will be apathetic and cold and I don't want to suffer anymore."

Ashlyn:" I promise you won't suffer with us"

Ali:" And we will give you as many cuddles, hugs and kisses as you want" (laughing)

Abigail:" Ahah I'll remember this" (laughing)

Ashlyn:" So, tell us something interesting about you"

Abigail:" What do you guys want to know?" (laughing)

Ali:" Everything ahah. So when is your birthday?"

Abigail:" It's on the 1st May"

Ashlyn:" Favorite subject, movie, color, tv series and team"

Abigail:" Wowo ahah. So music and English, "the grudge" and "bend it like Beckham", black and blue, "Pretty little liars" and "orange is the new black" and last but not least, I'd go with the Portland thorns and Orlando pride"

Ashlyn:" You're my girl ahah Orlando Pride is the best"

Ali:" Nah, Washington Spirit is the way!"

Abby/Ashlyn:" We agree to disagree ahah"

Ali:" Okay my turn ahah, favorite food and city"

Abigail:" Pancakes, tacos, donuts and pizza, duh. Mm I've never been out of Millcity but I'd love to visit the eastern coast, especially New York, Washington and Miami but I mostly want to go to Europe, to France, Italy and Germany."

Ali:" Germany is beautiful, I've lived there for three years. We could go there if you like"

Abigail:" Omg I would love to Ali!"

Ashlyn:" Alright, alright ahah. I have an interesting question and you have to be honest"

Abigail:" O-okay, shoot"

Ashlyn:" You keep telling us about this Luke. So... is he your boyfriend?"

Abigail:" Hum,... hum" (embarassed)

Ali:" You're blushing so hard girlie" (laughing)

Abigail:" Okay ahah so Luke and I met 4 years ago, so basically in 7th grade. He was new in my school since he used to live in Minneapolis and when I first met him, gosh, I fell in love with him. We were really close friends and one day, as we were walking, he took my hand and he kissed me. Since that day, we are much much closer but my parents found out that we were "sort of" dating and they hit me. Nowadays, things are awkward between us. I mean I'm deeply in love with him and he's in love with me as well, but we can't be together, even if we want this so bad. He was the first boy I was, and still am, in love with"

Ashlyn:" Was he your first kiss?" (smiling)

Abigail:" Yeah, and it was so perfect. When our lips first connected, I felt fireworks inside my heart. It was just... ah I can't even describe it" (daydreaming)

Ali:" Awe this is cute sweetie. How long has it been since you two last saw each other?"

Abigail:" Probably a week or even more. We don't spend much time together these days"

Ashlyn:" Do you want to visit him?"

Abigail:" Hum, I'm not sure, I guess"

Ali:" Well think about it okay?"

Abigail:" Okay thanks so much for all of this. It means the world to me"

Ali:" Sure kid!"

Ashlyn:" Hey Hope is calling me, do you want to facetime?"

Abigail:" Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes please!!!"

Ashlyn:" Alright, alright... Hey Solo!"

Hope:" Hey guys, how are you doing?"

Ali:" We're good, how about you?"

Hope:" Quite good, the trial will start soon but I wanted to check on you girls before and..."

Abigail:" Hopey, Hopey!! I miss you :("

Hope:" Hi honey, I miss you as well but I'll be back soon enough okay? Just promise me you won't cry and you'll call me every morning and every night, understand?"

Abigail:" Yep miss!" (laughing)

Hope:" Okay, I got to go, bye guys, love you!" (smiling)

Ali/Ash:" We love you too Solo"

Abigail:" I love you more Hopey <3"

After saying goodbye to Hope, the three of them decide to go to bed. As they're getting ready for their nap, Ash suddenly asks Abby something that seems to upset her.

Ashlyn:" Abby, you know that Hope is your mum, but who's your dad?"

Abigail:" I honestly don't know Ash. Hope told me that she got pregnant with me after a random guy kinda raped her at a party and she seemed really sad when she mentioned this. Why are you asking me this?"

Ashlyn:" Just wondering, now let's head to bed"

Abigail:" Alright, night night girls"

Ali/Ash:" Night honey"

And Ash and Ali both fall asleep. Abby, on the other hand, is thinking about that weird question about her dad. She just wants to know who it is.
