Abigail and Ali Krieger walk back to the stadium and find the others who immediately hug Abby and ask her if she is fine. Abby reassures everyone but all she wants to do right now is to find Hope and have a conversation with her.
A-K:" She's right there and she's been crying so bad. Just go over there and everything will come natural"
A:" Thanks Ali"
A-K:" Anytime kiddo"
Hope is sitting on the grass in the middle of the stadium, staring at the sky.
A:" Hey Hope..."
H-S:" Do you ever find yourself just staring at the sky and trying to imagine whatever is beyond it?"
A:" Yeah, like all the time. It seems that there's a sort of presence that understands me, you know... when I feel like crying I bring my eyes up and let them watch the sky, trying to find a way to escape"
H-S:" Escape from what?"
A:" From this reality. I hate my life here, I have friends and I play soccer and I'm grateful for this, okay. It's just that I think about how my life would have been if you'd kept me with you"
H-S:" I'd have kept you if I could. And I'm not speaking about selfishness or my soccer career. I know you more than you think because I really care about you, Abigail. Since you were adopted by the Morris', I've been in touch with them and we both agreed that on your 10th birthday, I'd had the chance to finally meet you. But they never kept that promise. I was completely knocked out of your life and I thought that I'd lost you. After this episode, I spoke to Carli about our situation and she helped me coming here as much as I could"
A:" Wait, so you used to come here just to see me?" (surprised)
H-S:" Yes, I saw you walking out of school, playing soccer, hanging out with Grace and with that Luke boy from your class. I was there when you two kissed for the first time and when he told you he was in love with you. I was there even when your dad found out about you two and hit you. I was there everytime he got drunk and hurt you. I've always been there, but I was too afraid to come up to you and tell you to run away with me."
A:" Why were you scared?"
H-S:" Because I knew you hated me for dropping you when you were a little baby. But right now, there's something I need to tell you, just promise me you won't freak out"
A:" O-okay I promise"
H-S:" When I found out I was pregnant with you, I was only 18 years old. I was a freshmen in college and we had those fraternities parties, you know, and once I got seriously drunk and a random guy took advantage of me. Weeks later I found out I was expecting a baby and I had to take a decision. I wanted to give you an opportunity to have a better life so I decided that once you were born, I'd have given you up for adoption. As the time went by, I started feeling a connection with you and that's when I made up my mind and decided to keep you with me. But the Morris' didn't give up so they found a lawyer that somehow managed to separate us. At first we kept in touch but then, as I already told you, they shut me out of your life. But, Abby; I want you to know that I never gave up on you, on us. I want you to know that you'll always have me right here when you need. I'll always be your birth mother, and no one else will change that"
A:" Wait, so you're basically telling me that I could have been with you this whole time if my extra rich super nasty adoptive parents didn't separate us?"
H-S:" Yes, I'm telling you this but I'm also telling you that your adoptive parents have given you so much and that you shouldn't have run away last night"
A:" But I wanted to come here and make you proud..."
H-S:" I am proud of you Abby. I'm proud of you as a soccer player but I'm mostly proud of the beautiful persone you've become."
And Abby cries, but her tears are filled of joy and happiness. "My mother is proud of me", thought Abby "and right now I'm happiest person on earth"
