"We have to get out of here," Kendra whispered, looking towards the two men driving the van.
"Good thing, idiot number one was in charge of putting us back here," Snart said, smirking.
"What are you talking about?"
Then, slowly, Snart lifted his hands out from behind his back, untied. Ziptie untied in one hand.
"How-" Kendra started, completely amazed.
"You really think I don't know how to get out of a ziptie?" Snart said slyly, getting up in a crouch position.
"Untie me," Kendra urged.
"Wait, we have to take care of the idiot first." Then he smirked as he took his gun out of its holster, "He really shouldn't have left this on me."
He slowly, made his way, right behind Bert's chair, then quickly slammed the back of his gun into the back of Bert's head, sending him smashing into the dashboard, unconscious.
"What the-" Lewis yelled, swerving the van as he got distracted by the commotion.
"How'd you get out?" Lewis yelled, looking at Leonard through his review mirror.
"Your partner just isn't very bright," he answered, pointing his gun at his father.
"Sounds like you'd get along well," Lewis said, glancing back and forth between him and the road, "Just like your mother," he added quietly.
"Gimme one good reason I shouldn't shoot you in the face right now!" Leonard yelled, shoving his cold gun right up to his father's head.
Lewis laughed coldly. "I'm driving."
Grunting, Snart pulled back his gun and put it in his holster. He walked back to Kendra and untied her as well.
"Come on, we're leaving," he said.
"What, flying?" She whispered to him, confused.
"No, the less he knows about everything, the better," he said, nodding his head to his father.
"Then what are we-" Kendra asked at a normal tone, confusion very clear.
"You're gonna have to trust me," he said, looking her in the eye.
"Trust is a pretty big step, Leo," Lewis yelled from the driving seat, laughing.
Glaring, Snart headed to the slide door, and opened it to the miles of interstate and cars zooming past.
"Are you crazy?" Kendra asked.
"Just crazy enough, to try," Leonard answered, holding his hand out to Kendra.
Slowly, Kendra took his hand.
"Have fun," Lewis yelled from the front as the van suddenly started speeding up even more.
"Now or never," Kendra said, looking up to Snart.
She shut her eyes tight. Nodding, Snart jumped out of the moving van, pulling Kendra with him.
They landed, hard. They rolled and bounced on the road, cars swerving to avoid them.
Snart blinked hard, getting himself together. He saw Kendra lying on the road, not moving.
He pushed himself up off the road, but found the wind was knocked out of him. Ignoring his aching body and lungs he struggled over to Kendra.
He heard her groan, but he looked up and saw a semi heading towards them, honking its horn.
Quickly, he picked her up from the road, refusing to listen to his body screaming in pain, he ran off the road, into the grass.
His lungs screaming, he dropped to his knees, trying to get air.
His whole body was screaming and aching. He dropped Kendra, and fell over onto his side.
He tried to keep his eyes open, but slowly, his vision started to fade, blackness creeping into the corners of his eyes. A sudden tiredness swept over him, as the black seeped through him and his vision went black.
