* Alaska *

February 6, Later that night

"Today was such an amazing day" I sing aloud as I walk through my front door. Both my parents are sitting on the couch watching the TV. They both look at me with weird faces because I've never been this happy in my entire life.

I set down the unicorn that Tanner gave me. We went to a fair after we got food. I drove him to SushiJet to eat some sushi (idk if this exists in Toronto, but I know it does in Winnipeg). A fair in the cold cold winter, amazing right? He won the unicorn by hitting tin cans.

"Which one do you like?" he asked me earlier at the fair.

"I like unicorns. They're so magical."

"Alright princess."

He didn't hit all the cans on the first try. I told him that it's okay if he didn't get me the unicorn but he still continued. In the end, he won.

"Thank you Tanner" I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Rachel...." I start to facetime her.

"huh what........"

"were you taking a nap?"

"um yea. what do you think I've been doing?"

"We kissed"

"Wait. What?" a pause in the other line.

"Like lips or cheeks?" after a few seconds of silence.

"Lips. We were at a stoplight and playing 21 questions" I can feel my cheeks already blushing.

"AWWWWWW. I can see the future, and it's definitely brighter than my music career"

"Don't say that Rachel! If you think so, i'm gonna ask Tanner what he thinks about the song you wrote"

"OH don't you"

"Yes I w-"

A knock on my window startled me.

"Hi"

* Tanner *

February 6, later that night

I'm currently on a uber to go to Alaska's house. She gave me her digits and address she even told me I can drop by anytime.

"Here's my address, come down to my house anytime, go through using my window."

"Anytime?"

"Yes, anytime."

I arrive at her house and see lights. I'm pretty sure that's her room. Luckily she has a balcony and I slowly climb up the balcony and knock on her window.

Her expression was priceless, but soon light up once she saw it was me.

"Hi" was all I could say.

"What are you doing here?" she asks

"You said I can come here anytime"

"Yea, I did. Come here." she leads me to sit on her bed.

"Tanner, this is Rachel, my best friend, and Rachel, this is my........"

"boyfriend" she looks at me, happy

"We are?" I raise my eyebrows and did a 'mmhmm' sound.

"Hey Tanner, nice to finally meet you. ABS is SUPER CRAZY about you?"

"ABS?"

"It's Alaska Beatrix Sawyer. My name" she says

"Hey Tanner, what do you think about this song?" she asks, taking her laptop and searching for the song.

"no Alaska. No no no why WHYYY?" Rachel semi yell at me.

She starts playing the song. Not bad.

"It's nice, honestly" I say

"Really? You like it?" Rachel says, not putting her hands on her ears anymore.

"Love it"

"See Rachel, I told you he'd love it. I gotta go now Rach, see you"

"Bye" all three of us say in sync.

After hanging up, she gives out a big sigh.

"What's wrong Alaska?" I say pulling a strand of her hair to the back.

"When are you leaving for San Diego?"

"Tomorrow"

"Then why are you here? Aren't you suppose to pack your things and get some sleep?"

"No need, I'll sleep on the plane but right now, all I want is to be beside you.

I kiss her, passionately this time. She tastes like strawberry. Butterflies flutter inside me. This is the best feeling in the world.

And just like that, we fall asleep with her in my arms.
