Laten sighed as he put his cell phone on the bed.
He started looking for his skateboard so he could go riding. But he didn't find it anywhere. He made his way to the living room, where he found his Father cooking.
"Have you seen my skateboard?" Laten asked.
"No, but look with your eyes, and maybe you'll find it." He said without looking at him.
Laten rolled his eyes. He looked in the closet that was close to the door. He saw it. Laten grabbed it, and went to put on his shoes.
He sat on the couch. "I'm going skating with my board."
"OK, bye."
Laten refused to let his father get to him. He got up and walked out the door.
He got on his skateboard, and rode down the railing with ease. He continued to skateboard to downtown, with a few tricks here and there. He loved the rush of adrenalin when he was not touching the ground.
There was a store next to some steps. Laten counted 6 steps. This time he wasn't going to use the railing.
The weather was nice. It was crisp and cool. Perfect time to do this.
What he was not expecting was Mr. Danial coming out of the store right when he jumped.
Laten didn't have any time to warn his teacher as he fell on top of him with a loud crash, his skateboard landing on all wheels beside them.
Ryan groaned. there goes his evening coffee. "You OK, kid?"
Laten got up as soon as he saw his teacher. "Mr. Danial, I am so sorry. Are you ok?"
"Laten!" Ryan got up. "Yeah, I'm fine. I had worst falls then that. You need to be more careful."
Laten blushed with embarrassment. "Y-yeah. I guess so. How are you?"
His teacher shook his head. "How are you? I heard you went to the hospital. Hope everything went well."
Laten smiled. "Yeah. I don't really want to talk about it."
"Hey, no problem. I'm not pressuring you. Why don't we take a walk. You don't mind do you?"
Laten picked up his skate board. "Not at all. Where are we going?"
Ryan started to walk. "Nowhere really. I've been worried about you. I've been wanting to talk to you in privet"
Laten started to walk with him. "Why?"
Ryan sighed. "I feel that you need someone to talk to. Besides Tankie."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"It's hard to talk, I know. You can't keep bottling things up inside. It's going to explode."
Laten rolled his eyes. "I'm well aware."
Ryan chuckled. "No need to have your wall up." Ryan went up to a house.
Laten didn't know his teacher had a trench coat. He always wanted one. His teacher had on a black cloth trench coat, black boots, black pants, and a white shirt.
"I feel that you need to know a few things. Since your father won't tell you anytime soon, somebody has to. I'm more then just your teacher, Laten. I know that I'm not suppose to do this, but I feel that it's time. You can go walk away, or you can find out why your father is the way he is."
Laten's eyes grew wide. 'So, this is his house. He is taking me to his house. This should raise flags, but he is one of the very few people I trust. He is or was an Ex-cop. I'm going in.'
