Chapter Twenty Seven

Chloe POV

December 29th I get a message on Facebook from an unknown person

'Hello, you probably don't know me but you would know my daughter. Her name is jade and I believe you've been taking care of her and I'm so grateful! Me and my husband visited my parents and in the rush to get on the next flight home we lost jade at the airport. I've been looking high and low for her and I've been having sleepless nights woundering about what happened to her. Of I could video call her and make sure it is her I would be forever grateful.'

After reading the message I knew just had to call jade straight away so I get changed into some sporty leggings and onto a white vest top with a white sports bra Incase the conversation was long I wanted to be comfortable

"Jade honey come here!" I shout

"Coming" she squeeks back

She comes running out of my room with Scotty in her hands

I video call the woman straight away, when she answers I see a middle aged woman with tired eyes and a grey fave

"Hello thank you for getting in contact with me" she tiredly smiles

"Hi I believe there's someone who's been missing you"

I place the tablet in front of jade and their faves instantly light up

"Mummy!" She screams happily

"Jade! Oh my darling!" She cries tears streaming from her eyes

"Mummy cwying pweas don't cwy"

"I'm sorry baby I'm just so glad to see you again"

"I've missed you too mummy" she says fiddling with Scotty's ear "but my other mummy and daddies have been taking gwood car of me" she says with a big grin in her face

" I'm sure they have sweetheart, but you belong over here with me and daddy we've been looking for you for ages ya know. Daddy even got the police looking for you" the woman says tears streaming from her face I knew i had to talk to her without jade in the room

"Hey jade why don't you go look for harry and play with him for a bit ok I'm just gonna have a quick word with your mummy ok" I say and give her a peck on the forehead

She smiles at me and shuffles off my bed

"I'm sorry but if the police is involved I we defiantly need to talk" I say with a small laugh at the end 

"Yes of course" she sighs quickly wiping her eyes "they were the last people we wanted to go to but weeks have passed and my husband was very persistant. I had no say in the matter to be honest"

"I understand and I would be happy to take the next flight up to you so you can hold your baby girl In your arms again"

"That would be the best feeling in the world right now" she says smiling

"I'm sorry about her calling me mummy I saw that it hit a nerve with you"

"Oh no it just surprised me especially when she said daddies" she laughed

"Ah yes well I have these 5 guys that are my closest friends and they've helped me look after jade and they helped make her feel at home and safe" I say remembering all they've done for her

"I'm so happy to hear that and I bet looking after her was a handful"

"Actually it wasn't more like the other way around" I laugh "she has taught them a few tricks and she has given me a new way of looking at things"
