All that's lost

Camila's Pov:

We pulled up to the field and I instantly felt my nerves kick in. I felt like I was going to throw up or pass out...this is going to be interesting. We climb out of Ally's car and head over to the other girls who were talking and sitting in the grass waiting for coach to show up. I see Lauren with Alexa and Vero, Lauren has an excited gleam in her eyes. I know the gleam is because soccer season is starting. I remember how great of a team we were in Jr. High. It was literally me crossing perfect passes across the field and her shooting and scoring. I would score too but I prefer being the play maker. Soccer is one of the only things that she loves with a strong passion. When she is passionate about something there is no stopping her. This is one of the many things I admire most about her.

Flashback

We reach the soccer field and get off the bus. Lauren and I are walking together just goofing around. I look up and see the clouds and feel a slight drizzle of rain. I look at Lauren with a huge grin on my face, "LOLO! It's going to rain!!!!!". She looks up and smiles just as big as me "YES!" she yells. Playing soccer in the rain is the most intense and fun thing ever! We put on our cleats and go in the huddle. "Okay, I know we're undefeated and all, but this team is not one to mess around with." Our coach warns, "They have only lost 2 games so far. So lets go out there and KICK SOME BUTT!!" We all yell and cheer. "Cats on three! one, two, three!" "CATS!" we yell and get in our positions. I look over to right forward and make eye contact with Lauren. We give each other cocky smirks...this should be fun. It was the other teams ball and right when they kicked off Lauren ran in front of the person causing them to drop back without looking and I was there in perfect position and took the ball. I dribbled up the left side juking out the first midfielder, then tripping over her foot losing my pace. The defender came up before I could get the ball under control and stole it from me. 'Crap'. The ball's down at the other end and I'm waiting for it to come back. "You guys are good" I hear a girl say. She had long brown hair wearing a high pony and a headband. She was a lot bigger than me, kinda intimidating. In fact, most of the players are a little or a lot bigger than me and not to mention Lauren as well. I look over at her and smile "Thanks! So are you guys." "So what's you're guises record?" "We haven't lost any games yet" I say smiling. "Oh, cool!" it was pouring down rain by now which got me more excited and pumped. I turn back to the game and see Ericka dribbling the ball back up the field. She crosses it to Lauren and I start running up the field keeping pace with her. She easily maneuvers around the defenders and shoots and scores!  We all cheer and scream Lauren and I give each other a hug. Later I notice the girl that I talked to was starting to get pissed because we were out playing their team...haha. Ericka has the ball and is in center field she crosses it to me. I start running with the ball and out of no where two girls sandwiched me causing me to fall in the mud. The ref blew his whistle and called a foul. "Do you want to kick it?" Ericka asks me. "No you kick it" We smile at each other and I get farther up the field. Ericka's really nice and a little shy, her hair is a little past shoulder length and light brown. She's really tan, has soft brown eyes and is like 5'9" so she's quite a bit taller than me. She hardly wears makeup and has a natural beauty. She also has an aura of innocents which I find cute. I notice Lauren across the field with only a girl on her and she's a few feet away...perfect. Ericka kicks it to me, I cross it not even looking and just trusting my instincts, they must have been right because I look up and right when the ball is about to hit the ground Lauren shoots it and it goes right into the far corner of the goal! We got even more excited at how perfect the play was. Lauren and I ran to each other hugging. Gosh I love this girl! We kick ass together. After our hug we do our handshake and go to kick off.

End Flashback

I smile remembering the awesome play and game. We ended our 8th grade soccer season undefeated. It was one of the best soccer seasons not just because we were undefeated but because I made a new best friend. "Hey Camila!" I look over and see Ericka sitting on the grass with Dani. "Hey guys!" I walk over and sit with them because Ally went to hang out with Rachael who's also a sophomore. Dani has blonde slightly wavy hair and blue eyes. She is an amazing defender and I respect her because she's supper nice and quiet but when it comes to soccer she's like a wall and nothing can get past her. Dani isn't afraid to push someone down. It's funny because she's so innocent and quite. We start talking.
