Blake smiled when her blonde haired partner arrived at the room she was staying in, it made her feel a lot safer. She really had no idea what exactly had happened to her or where she was, she just knew that she had been injured. The doctors informed her about her injuries, the worst one being that her left eye had been removed. No matter how many times she asked, everyone refused to tell her how it happened and she was getting rather frustrated. She hoped that maybe Yang would tell her something, but she was going to wait to ask until Weiss had left the room. Blake grabbed Yang's hand and squeezed it reassuringly, she could see the worry in her partner's eyes. "Yang..." she finally said as she studied her partner's face. Her voice was very quiet.

"Hey, Blake," Yang said with a smile, "how are you feeling?" She was being cautious with what she asked.

"Better than when I first woke up," she replied. When she first woke up everything hurt, especially her head. Right now she was on pain meds and they dulled the pain. The medication also made her very tired.

"That's good," Yang leaned over and wrapped her arms around Blake gently, "I'm so glad you're okay..."

"I'll let you two catch up," Weiss smiled softly before walking out of the room.

Blake pulled away slightly and studied Yang's face, there were bags under her eyes. "You haven't been sleeping much, have you?" She began to wonder how long she had been gone.

"No, I haven't," she said sadly, "but now that I know you're okay I'll be able to sleep a lot better."

Blake scooted over and made room for her partner on the bed. "C'mon, you need to rest." She patted the bed and smiled at her.

"But-" Yang started to protest but stopped. She laughed quietly and climbed onto the bed, lying down next to Blake. Their faces were only inches apart and they both stared into each other's eyes. "Blake, before anything else crazy happens, I need to tell you something."

"Of course, what is it?" She asked as she stared into her partner's beautiful lilac eyes.

"I hope I don't mess this up..." she said quietly before taking a deep breath, "I-I love you, Blake!"

Blake gasped quietly, did she hear her correctly? She saw the panic on Yang's face as her partner waited for a response. "Yang, I love you too."

"How?" She looked away and frowned, "how could you love the girl who left you behind?"

Now Blake was confused. "What do you mean? You never left me." She pulled Yang face back towards her own and looked her in the eyes, wanting an explanation.

"Don't listen to what I just said," she said quickly, "let's just go to sleep." Yang wrapped her arms around her and kissed her forehead.

Blake closed her eyes and smiled, she was glad that Yang was here with her. Eventually, she fell asleep in her partner's arms.

_

Yang smiled as she watched Blake drift off to sleep. She hoped that Blake wouldn't dwell on what she had said about leaving her, she didn't want to be asked a bunch of questions. It would be difficult for her to lie to Blake. After a few minutes she shut her eyes, holding Blake gently so she would hurt her. "I love you kitty cat..." she said before falling asleep as well.
