The next day, it was time for the inmates of the Shatterdome to be let out of their cells again. Mothra had much more on her mind now. One of these things was avoiding Godzilla. After her blowup the previous day, she wanted to steer clear of him for a while, afraid that he would take it the wrong way. Also, she wanted to find Komi. When she finally did find her, she was with Zilla. Mothra smiled, assuming they were talking about what Komi had mentioned earlier. She approached the two and sat down across from them.
"Oh, hey, Mothra." Komi said.
"Sorry, did I interrupt something?" Mothra asked.
"No, not at all." Zilla assured. "What did you need?"
"Well..." Mothra began, twirling a lock of hair with her finger. "I have this secret, and Godzilla really needs to know about it, but I don't know how he'll react. I just want to know how to break it to him gently."
Komi gasped. "Mothra, are you..." She began.
"No, I'm not pregnant." Mothra laughed. "It's not that serious... still pretty serious though."
"Well, it would help if you tell us what it is." Zilla suggested. Mothra knew he was right, for once. She took a deep breath and closed her to steady herself. Once she was ready, she opened her eyes again and looked Komi and Zilla directly in the eyes.
"Guys... I'm bisexual." She said.
She exhaled deeply, feeling relief after finally getting her secret off of her chest. She expected a loud gasp or a long pause, something impactful as a response. But instead Komi simply shrugged.
"Okay." She said. "That's all?"
"You... you guys aren't surprised?" Mothra asked.
"A little bit." Zilla admitted. "But I mean, it's not a bad thing."
"I'll admit, I was a little surprised too." Komi agreed. "But whatever, it's who you are."
Mothra breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad that she had such good friends. Still, Zilla and Komi obviously had some questions.
"So when did you discover you were bi?" Komi asked.
"A few months ago... when you showed up." Mothra admitted.
Komi paused to think about what Mothra had just said. "Wait... when I showed up?" She repeated. "Mothra... did you have feelings for me?"
"N-no! Well, I mean, maybe... I don't know." Mothra stammered. She was starting to blush now, and she could hear Komi and Zilla snickering. "That's not the point." Mothra continued. "The point is, how do I tell Godzilla?"
"Just tell him like you told us." Zilla advised. "Don't make a huge deal out of it, just say it."
"Yeah, if he really loves you, then it won't matter to him at all." Komi added.
Mothra nodded. That was pretty solid advice. Her past fears were gone now, replaced with determination, and a little excitement. She couldn't wait to see Godzilla again so she could tell him.
"One last thing, though." Komi said. "Have you ever kissed a girl?"
"Um... no." Mothra said. She could see where this was going, but wasn't sure if she liked it.
"Well, would you like to try it?" Komi asked. Mothra's heart jumped. She was both excited and scared at the idea. Still, she knew what her answer would be.
"I... uh... y-yeah, sure. I-I mean, only if you and Zilla are okay with it." Mothra stammered. Komi turned to Zilla, looking for confirmation.
"Yeah, I'm fine with it." Zilla nodded. "Just once, though."
Mothra nodded shakily. Seeing her enthusiasm and nervousness, Komi giggled slightly. The two girls stood up, and Komi began to lean in. Mothra hesitated, and then slowly began to lean in as well. She closed her eyes tightly, and continued to lean in until her and Komi's lips touched. She gave a small squeal of surprise. The feeling was both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. One thing she noticed was that Komi's lips were much softer than Godzilla's, and she wasn't as aggressive as him either. It felt strange, but good. In fact, strangely enough, Mothra felt as if she was kissing herself. Eventually they both pulled away. Mothra's hand immediately went to her lips. They felt strange. She had never kissed anyone other than Godzilla before, so doing it with someone else was a strange experience.
"That was... interesting." She said. Komi didn't respond. She was looking at something behind Mothra, and she had a seemingly horrified expression on her face.
"Uh oh." She muttered. Mothra's heart began to race as she noticed the same expression on Zilla's face. It didn't take long for her to realize who was standing behind her.
"Oh no..." She whispered as she turned around, and saw, just as she predicted, Godzilla standing behind her. He was frozen in shock, so Mothra guessed he had seen her kiss Komi.
"H-how much did you see?" She asked.
"I don't know. I just got here..." Godzilla said. "Mothra, what the hell is going on?"
Luckily, Mothra could see he was more confused than angry. This would make it easier to answer his question.
"Well... I guess I have to tell you now." She said. "Godzilla, I'm bisexual."
Godzilla's reaction was exactly what Mothra expected. It was a sort of shocked silence, with a hint of realization.
"Oh. So... you like girls too now?" He asked. Mothra nodded. Godzilla breathed a sigh, relieved that the situation wasn't as bad as he thought. "Okay." He said. "So you were just doing... that to see what it would be like to kiss a girl. I think I get it."
"Y-yeah, that's exactly why." Mothra said. She was also relieved that Godzilla was taking this so well. "So you're not mad?"
"Mad? Why would I be mad?" Godzilla asked.
"Well, she did just kiss someone else." Zilla shrugged. Komi elbowed him in the arm, effectively shutting him up. Mothra was happy that the situation didn't turn out as bad as she thought, until Godzilla spoke again.
"There is one thing I don't understand, though." He said. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Well, I didn't know how you were gonna react." Mothra explained. "And after that whole mess in New York, I..." She stopped herself as she brought this up. She had forgotten how terrible Godzilla felt about what happened in New York. But it was already too late. Godzilla's expression changed back to confusion.
"Wait... you thought I would hurt you again?" He asked.
"No, Godzilla, that's not what I meant." Mothra tried to say, but it was too late. Godzilla's expression changed again, this time to a sad realization.
"You still don't completely trust me." He deduced.
"What? No! That's not true, I trust you!" Mothra assured, but Godzilla cut her off.
"No, it's okay. I get it." He said. "It all makes sense. The way you blew up at me yesterday, the way you've been avoiding me lately... I really messed up, huh?"
"Godzilla... I..." Mothra didn't know what to say. She just didn't have the words. For all she knew, this was the end. And this time, it was her fault.
"Maybe I should go now." Godzilla said. Before Mothra, Komi, or Zilla could say anything, Godzilla turned around and walked away. Mothra's lips began to quiver. As Komi was about to place a comforting hand on her shoulder, she turned and ran off in the opposite direction. Komi sighed and sat back down next to Zilla.
"Well, that could have gone better." She said.

Slattern listened to the sound of her sharp toenails clicking on the metal floor as she walked through the halls of the cell block. One of her Kaiju servants told her what happened between Godzilla and Mothra. This was the perfect time to strike. She grinned sinisterly as she approached Godzilla's cell. Once she actually stood in front of the open door, she changed her face to a more sympathetic-looking one. She saw him sitting on his bed (there were two in the room now) with his head in his hands. He wasn't crying or anything, but he did look pretty depressed.
"Hey..." Slattern said. Godzilla looked up.
"Oh... hey, Slattern." He said.
"I heard about what happened. Are you okay?" Slattern asked. She walked into the room and sat next to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but... I dunno." Godzilla sighed. "I think I screwed up. Something happened a while ago. I did something terrible, and even though Mothra forgave me, I guess she still doesn't trust me completely."
"Don't worry, I'm sure Mothra will come around." Slattern assured. "And if she doesn't..." She began to lean closer to Godzilla until she was right next to his ear. "You'll always have me." She finished with a kiss on his cheek. Once Godzilla was able to register what she had just done, he shot up and stood in front of her.
"Whoa, wait a second." He said.
"What's wrong?" Slattern asked.
"Mothra and I aren't breaking up." Godzilla said. "At least, I don't think. We're just going through a rough patch right now. Maybe this isn't as bad as I think."
"Oh! I'm sorry." Slattern chuckled. "I didn't mean to..."
"It's okay. I'm not mad." Godzilla assured. He smiled, and chuckled slightly. Somehow, Slattern's mistake made him feel a bit better. "You know, I think Muto was wrong about you. You're not that bad." He said.
Slattern smiled as well. "See? I told you." She said. "I should go now." With that, she got up and walked out of the cell. Once she was out of Godzilla's eyesight, her face turned to a blank disappointed scowl. This was a setback to her plan, but it still had not failed. There was still another option. But it would have to happen that night. As she heard footsteps approaching her, she turned around, and saw Muto marching towards her.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She spat.
"I was just talking to your little friend." Slattern explained. Muto stopped as she got closer to Slattern, but not too close.
"Godzilla? Why were you talking to him?" She demanded.
"Oh, we've been talking for a while." Slattern continued. "I think he quite enjoys my company."
Muto's hands clenched into fists, but instead of acting on her anger, she turned around and walked into her and Godzilla's cell. She slammed the door behind her. Slattern laughed silently at Muto's rage. Then, she left the cell block to journey to her own cell. She still had some planning to do.

"Muto, are you okay?" Godzilla asked. Muto had just slammed the door to their cell closed, and began to march over to him. She seemed angry.
"I told you not to talk to Slattern!" She said. Godzilla rolled his eyes.
"Look, I don't know what your problem is with her," He said, getting up from his bed, "but maybe it was just a misunderstanding."
"Misunderstanding?!" Muto repeated.
"Yeah, she's been pretty nice to me ever since I got here." Godzilla replied.
"That's because she's manipulating you!" Muto said. "She's probably just using you for some evil plan she's making up."
"Okay, Muto, that's a bit harsh." Godzilla argued.
"No, it's not." Muto argued back. "You don't know what she did to me!"
Godzilla crossed his arms. "Okay, fine, tell me. What did she do to you, Muto?" He asked.
"I... I can't tell you." Muto said. Even now, she couldn't summon up the courage to admit what Slattern really did to her. "My point is, she's bad. You just have to trust me."
"Oh yeah? Because I blindly trusted you once, and then you resurrected Hokmuto." Godzilla replied. Once she thought about what Godzilla had said, her expression changed from anger to hurt.
"Yeah, don't think I forgot about that." Godzilla continued, stepping towards her. "The reason you're here in the Shatterdome right now was also the reason I shouldn't trust you. And maybe I never should have."
Muto gasped at his words and stepped back slightly. Her hurt expression grew a bit sadder. Godzilla had never seen this face on Muto before. He realized he had gone too far.
"I didn't mean that..." He said.
Muto didn't listen. She simply swivelled around and hopped into her bed, pulling the covers up to her head and turning away from Godzilla. He sighed and shook his head. This was now the second time that day that he had really messed up.
